Leave Your Lover

Chapter 2

Nico, I love you," a girl whispered softly into his ear.

He sat up, he looked striaght up at her to examine her. Her brown hair was put into a perfect pony tail, olive skin and a hunter uniform. She hadn't changed the last time he had seen her.

A tear trickled down his face, she wiped the tear for him while rubbing her fingers through his hair.

" I can't believe you Percy!" Nico screamed as he hugged himself.

" Nico, I'm sorry... She sacrificed herself, there's nothing more we could've done."

" I hate you Percy!" Nico screamed. It kept echoing inside his head.

Bianca smiled and held Nico's hand.

After flashing back from Tartus.

We all held hands. Percy held mine, it felt weird to have his hand connected with mine... Yet I seemed to like it so I let go immediately. Percy looked bewildered and a little hurt, he tried to talk to me.

I stepped back and started walking towards the tree. The others didn't notice I was gone except for Percy who was looking out after me.

Bang!

Nico woke up instantly wiping the sweat from his head, he began screaming as the harsh sound of his heavy breathing filled his ears.

I knocked on the bunker door. Loud crying came from inside. Jason and Piper stood behind me holding tool catalogs.

" Nico?" Piper asked, as his brows creased into a frown.

"Yes?"

" Leo, it's me Jason with Piper and Nico. Can you let us in?"

No response.

"Repair boy come on. You can talk to us, "Piper said looking at me as he own eyebrows began to form a frown.

I kept quiet unsure what to say. Leo normally did this to me, but honestly it was face to face.

"We'll just come back,"Jason said winking at me, as he took Piper's hand.

The two of them walked down the hill steadily, looking back occasionally.

"Leo?" I croaked, sitting down on the other side of the door.

He sniffed, "Yes?"

"I'm not good with this whole feelings thing. We-we can still talk about other stuff," I pleaded, desperate.

The door suddenly opened making me fall back slightly as I stood up and I stepped inside.

The bunker looked more sunken and depressing then usual. The lights were out, candy rappers lay strewn on the floor, some ripped blue prints covered the cabin floor as well as a partly burnt photo of Calypso.

Leo sat in the corner, staring into space. His confident smile was replaced with a half-heartened one.

" You ok Valdez?" I asked, sitting down next to him.

He looked at me then back at the ground, a tear dropped from his cheek and landed on the old floor.

"How am I suppose to be ok?" Leo questioned sarcastically. "She never truly loved me... " his voice cracked slightly as he trailed off.

"Leo, if she doesn't love you it's her loss."

I felt as if he was looking into my soul, learning about my past in look. Knowing how much I've been hurt these past years... Most importantly he was getting to know the real me, not the one Percy tells them about.

Leo smiled a bit then turned away. His attention seemed to be else were.

"Thanks," Leo said, wiping his face.

I nodded and looked at the door. Waiting for someone to walk in, maybe Jason or Piper.

Leo touched my chin and turned it facing him. Looking me in the eye he leaned in.

I closed my eyes waiting for his lips to touch mine. But Leo wrapped his arms around me instead. I was a little disappointed that he didn't kiss me. I pat his back and tell him it's ok. But the real question is 'Will I be ok?'
