The Awakened

Chapter Two

Waking up at his usual time, Aiden went to the bathroom, brushed his teeth and had a shower before dressing up and going to work. He was quite happy to get to the library today, feeling the spirit of a nice o'le day.

"Aiden my man." His boss Luke, hit his back in a playful manner. He had always liked his boss, he just kind of have the spirit he has: no boring life and all of that. Aiden smiled at Luke before shaking his hands.

"Aiden I got a couple of girls for you, what do you say?"

Aiden smirked, "You know me too well, boss."

"No 'boss' bullshit when we are not at the shop, call me Luke, like I've always told you." He rolled his eyes at that. He's just too playful.

Aiden smiled, "Okay Luke."

"Any interesting books so far?"

Aiden mind difted off to a certain Duchess. "Nothing really interesting, just the Duchess book."

"Oh, I see. Antonia De' Riaro right?"

"Yeah."

"It's a very nice story though, I heard it was actually a real life story." Aiden raised a brown. Sometimes he wonders if Luke weren't gay, with the way he acts.

"I went to the cemetery." Aiden said.

"Aiden," Luke harden his face when he stared at Aiden, those playful glint disappearing. "It's dangerous, I wouldn't want one of my handsome employee to be hurt. Be careful, she's dangerous. Wanna see the girls later on after work or have you changed your mind." Luke playful glint suddenly appearing.

Aiden stared at him confusedly, Luke sounded serious while talking about the Duchess, like he also knew it was real, that she does exist. He was very confuse with Luke's expression but decided to smile instead.

"I would love to see the girls, it's been a while that I've been laid." Aiden said smiling at his boss.

"That's my man." Luke said walking away to his office.

Aiden thoughts drifted to what Luke said. Now he was more determine to know if she was still alive or not, and also, how to bring her back to life if possible.

        Aiden decided that going to the cemetery at night was too horrofic, imagining the last time he went there wasn't so pleasant so now he chooses to go during daytime not that he is afraid or anything but one has to take precaution always.

         He took the book and placed it in a nylon he had placed near his table the other day he bought food from Kathy's Taste, he had really enjoyed the food quite much---- after his mother's food and his if he might say, he hasn't tasted any other food that is as good as his mothers' until Kathy's Taste ofcourse, his usual restaurant now. He also a met a pretty nice waiteress that he'd love to get underneath him if possible, not that if he does flirt with her she won't go for it, he just doesn't want to go for her now due to his discovery about the Duchess, he just feels that if he eventually brings her back, things will change drastically even with that at mind he still didn't give up his plans about bringing her back, you might think he's insane but is just being normal by making the impossible possible.

          He was going to be doing a lot of digging about her before going to his trip on seeing her or perhaps checking her during day time. His obsession on her keeps growing each day, his motivation on bringing her back growing at such an acclerated rate too.

         Having finished for the day, he decided to retire home for the day.

        "Aiden?" Luke said from his office door----closing it behind him before walking up to Aiden who stood still since he heard his name.

        "Goodnight Mr Wanmon." Holt said. Holt was a colleague of Aiden at the library and also one of the female workers of Luke.

         "Goodnight Holt, have a wonderful night." Luke said.

         "Thank you sir." Holt said before leaving.

          "No problem." Luke waved at her as she left. "So.. Aiden, still up on getting laid." Luke said smirking at Aiden.

          "Of course Luke, wouldn't want to miss a nice ass." Aiden replied, almost forgetting about his deal with Luke.

     "Aiden my man." Luke smiled at him. They left the library together.

Aiden smiled at the thought, at least he will finally relief some stress for now and think about Her tomorrow. Meanwhile, he has finally made up his mind to look for or perhaps bring her back without Luke's notice. Since Luke strictly told him to stay away from the mythology of the Duchess which he seem not to do. Aiden removed his mind from her for now and focus on his mission on getting laid--- he smirked at that, finally!

Luke took him to a nice club house where he saw a lot of girls which he could choose from, beautiful girls if he might add--- and drunken men which irritates him more than he can say. Back then in school Aiden never took a liken to alcohol, he was disgusted by the smell, most people might think his being feminine but he would rather take a milkshake which isn't his favorite than alcohol but that doesn't stop him from being a jock.

"Damn, this girls are beautiful. You like it here?" Luke asked Aiden bringing him out of his thought.

"Of course." Aiden replied immediately.

Luke stood up from where he sat "I will be right back."

"Are you sure?" Aiden asked cause he knew he wouldn't see him for a while or even today as a matter of fact.

Luke smirked, "I'm not sure." He chuckled at his statement while Aiden laughed.

"Okay and also don't forget to protect yourself." Said Aiden.

"I will." Luke replied back and walked towards one of the girls while leaving Aiden alone.

I probably should get a girl too, Aiden thought, Or maybe wait for Antonia, Aiden laughed at that and immediately hear a voice.

"I am with you, just help... me."

Oh shit, maybe his mind has started playing tricks on him since he was so determined to bring her back to life when he knew it might not be possible. Did he just heard a reply to his word or...

"I am no mortal but I seek to be with one." The unknown said.

Okay that's it he has totally lost it, he stood up and left the club and not even saying a goodbye to Luke.

Seriously this has gotten out of hand if I don't stop I research on Her. He got home and slammed the door shut, Immediately going to bed, not wanting to dwell on his madness, as it now seem. He took his shoes off and fell on the bed and entering dreamland.
