*Quinn's P.O.V*
I can't believe we moved I miss my friends already ,and we've only just moved in yesterday. To make matters worse my mom already registered me for school a couple of weeks back. So I still have to go to school today, which I'm pretty sure I won't fit in. I've heard a lot of preppy, snobby kids go there, and I'm nothing like that I like reading and painting, not cheerleading and shopping. I guess I should head downstairs and eat breakfast but first I need to check my outfit out in the mirror.
When I look in the mirror, I see my dark brown hair, fairly tan skin, and sky blue eyes. My outfit is a white tank top, blue skinny jeans, a black leather jacket, and black knee high boots. Unlike most girls I know I'm pretty, but I'm not conceited because looks in my opinion aren't everything. Same thing with your social status, I can't stand people who just concentrate on those things. I have a bad feeling that everyone at my new school will be that way ,if so then I'll be that weird loner girl. Oh well I guess I could be wrong. I head downstairs to see my little brother sitting on the bottom step. He's only twelve ,but he looks older , he has brown hair, sky blue eyes just like mine, and fair skin.
" Hey Kyle is breakfast ready?" I ask.
" Sure is Quinn, were having bacon and eggs." He gives me a wide grin.
" Sounds good where's Ruby?" As soon as I ask this my sister comes stomping down the stairs.
Ruby and I are fraternal twins we both have brown hair ,but that's where the similarities end, in personalities and looks. While I'm more on the short and curvy side, she's tall and skinny but in an elegant way, also she's really pale. She has freckles covering every part of her body, I have none, and her blue eyes are a darker shade than mine. Then there's our personalities, she is the preppy cheerleader type minus the snobby part, and as I said before I'm the artsy type. It's ironic though because we look like we should be in opposite positions or so people have told us. I've learned the hard way not to judge a book by it's cover literally.
" Can you hurry up and eat already I don't want to be late!" She squealed in her usual over girly way.
" Ok let me just eat a piece of bacon then we can head off to our new hell hole." I say with a roll of my eyes.
" You said a bad word." Ruby says looking like she's about to faint.
" Seriously Ruby your so dramatic." I walk into the kitchen and grab a piece of bacon.
" I am not!' She exclaims.
" Whatever anyways let's go." I grab my keys and head out the door to our car.
When finally pull up to school in our red 2010 ford mustang, I see people already staring at our car judging us based on a stupid car, so I guess so far I was right about this place sadly. The school is pretty small nothing too fancy for a supposed rich kid public school. My mom wanted to send us to a boarding school ,but me and my sister convinced her otherwise. I know my mom wants the best for us but sometimes she over does it, for a single mom she's doing pretty well with her job as a Surgeon. My dad died when I was thirteen it's been almost four years since then. He died in a fire, he was working late at his office when the heater caught fire. They tried to save him but it was too late, I miss him so much. He's the one who got me into art and reading, it was something we did together.
We both start walking to the school building and of course everyone is looking at us. None really catch my eye, but when I'm half way there I see a guy standing by his self. He has medium brown hair, big pretty brown eyes, fair skin, a toned body, and a pretty boy face. I'll admit he's good looking but that's not what catches my attention. It's that he's standing away from all the other kids, he didn't even look up when me and my sister walked by like all the other kids did. He seems more distant and quiet than everybody else, he seems like someone I could be friends with. Hopefully he's in my grade, maybe I can make at least one new friend.
