The redhead let out a groan as he woke up and looked around his surroundings. He immediately noticed he was in an ordinary small hut that had nothing special to it. There was a few pieces of metal, wood and other mechanical pieces that were lying around the floor in the corner with a workbench that caught his attention. Then the door on the other side of the room opened and the beautiful woman he saw before losing consciousness stood in the doorway. Just behind her, he could see a few unusual and flashing machines with lots of buttons.
"I see you're finally awake," the woman said calmly. Her voice was monotone, held no emotions whatsoever, but at the same time sounded like an angel was talking to him. She walked to the stove and turned the gas off and pour whatever she was making into a wooden bowl and sat next to the redhead. "Here, eat. It will make you feel better."
The redhead stared at her suspiciously. "How do I know that you didn't poison it?"
The girl sighed and ate a spoonful of the food to prove herself innocent of trying to poison him. She then placed the spoon near his face. Begrudgingly, the redhead opened his mouth and let her feed him. To him, if it meant that he could get back earlier, he would take whatever chances he could get. He hates making people wait after all. "So what is your name?"
"I believe the right way is to tell the person your name before demanding for theirs," the redhead replied.
"Most people call me Experiment 20, but if you want, you may call me Crystal."
"Why Experiment 20?" He asked suddenly interested in her.
"I was an experiment at creating new life by my creator. The twentieth and final experiment before he passed away." A silence settled between the two as she continued to feed him. "Now that I have told you my name, I believe it is time you told me yours."
"Sasori," he said simply. "Akasuna no Sasori."
"You should be healed within three days. I have provided a few provisions for you when you leave."
Sasori nodded and reached to his jacket to see whether the scroll he had set out for was still there only to find out that he wasn't wearing his jacket, let alone his own clothes. "Where are my clothes?" He questioned.
"They're drying off," Crystal replied without so much as a glance to see his distressed expression. "If you're looking for your belongings then they're over there." She pointed at the small table next to the bed. "They looked important so I thought to leave them next to you so you won't panic."
Sasori looked at his stuff before looking back at her. "Why are you doing so much for me?"
Crystal turned around and looked at him with her calm and gentle ruby eyes. "Because you don't deserve to die yet. Neither does anyone in this world. So long as the person in front of me can be saved, I will do whatever it takes. Whatever they decide to do with their lives after that is completely up to them."

That night, Sasori laid in the bed, wrapped in new bandages with help from Crystal. Her ability in healing people without Medical Ninjutsu had impressed him. But another thing was keeping him up, would be whatever was behind the door that hid all the unusual machines that he had never seen before. Quietly, he sat up and saw Crystal sleeping peacefully on her workbench. Sneakily, he made his way to the door and opened it slightly to test for any creaks and slipped inside without waking her up. At least to his knowledge.
Once he was inside, he was awestruck at the amount of wires, pipes, tubes and many other scientific instruments that were hiding in the back of such a small hut. With a mere glance at the nearby shelves, he was able to identify many of the rarest plants in the world that were just sitting in large jars. The technology that was stored in the one room was so advanced that even he couldn't recognise it. Everything in the room was so valuable that he began to wonder who the girl really is. By the look of the equipment, he could confidently say that they weren't even a hundred years close to inventing something like it yet.
"Do you like my little activity room?" A monotone voice asked, causing Sasori to flinch in shock. "You're probably wondering who I am right now. All I can say is...I'm from the future. Why I have come back to the past is none of your business. Now if you're done admiring my equipment, please get back into bed. You should not be moving around with injuries like that."
"Be my partner," Sasori said bluntly.
"I refuse," she bounced back almost immediately.
"And why won't you follow me?"
"Because I see no reason for me to do such a thing. Should you be injured, that would be a different story. However, all physical injuries heal and when that happens, you won't be needing me anymore."
Sasori glanced at the few papers of research that were lying about the room and smirk when he finally found a way to persuade her. "I can help you reach your goal of bringing your creator back to life."
Sasori couldn't help but widen his grin when he knew that he had caught her interest. "And what would you get out of helping me?"
"You will become my assistant and fight alongside me in my missions."
She paused before nodding and walking over to him and stuck her hand out. "Very well, I agree to this deal."
He reached out and shook her hand.
And with that, their contract to each other was formed and three days had passed by easily.
