Ivan's POV

I made my decision. After talking to a lot of married couples I finally made my decision. I'm going to propose to Yao. A few days ago I called Yao's mom and dad asking for permission on it. After a long discussion on how I should treat Yao and a little bit of advice on how to propose to Yao they finally said yes. It was our 4 year anniversary of us beginning to date. I decided I'm going to surprise Yao with it.

I called Yao pretty early in the day since it was Saturday so we didn't have work. After a while he answered the phone:

Yao: Hello Ivan dear~ Sorry I didn't answer sooner, Yong Soo and Kiku are fighting about a song lyrics and wanted me to search what the lyrics are. Both of them were wrong in the end.

Ivan: It's alright. Do you remember what day it is?

Yao: ...Saturday?

Ivan: Aww you forgot our 4 year anniversary, you're mean.

Yao: OH! I'm so sorry. I forgot, I've just been so busy I didn't think about that.

Ivan: It's alright. How about I take you out for dinner tonight?

Yao: Alright sure, I'll really enjoy it.

Ivan: I'll pick you up at eight.

Yao: Okay see u tonight!

Yao's POV

Oh no I totally forgot. "Hey guys I'm quickly going to the store," I quickly told my siblings quickly getting dressed. "...Alright?" They wanted to ask why, but decided against it. I quickly drive to the shop and quickly buy him a present. I hope he likes it...

I spent the rest of the day getting ready for the date. A suit... No too formal. A sweater... No it's in the middle of summer. A pastel shirt with a flower crown... No too girly. Shocking pink, -orange and -yellow... No too bright. The Christmas dress from years ago... Definitely no. A red shirt with stars at the sleeves with black skinny jeans... Yes finally!

I quickly got dressed and put on my sneakers. I wait downstairs for Ivan. "Do you think brother in law is going to propose to you?" Yong Soo asked curiously. "Yong Soo what did I tell you. You can't rush something you want to last forever," I lectured, but silently I also hoped so. After ten minutes Ivan knocked on the door. We said our goodbyes and they wished us best of luck. We drove to the restaurant.

Once we got there I look through the restaurant to see it really is more fancy and expensive than expected. Once we got our table I whispered to Ivan,"I didn't know it was going to be this fancy or expensive". "Only the best for my little Yao-Yao," he replied and smiled, sending all the blood rushing to my cheeks. After all these years I still haven't gotten used to the compliments. We kept talking and laughing while we waited for the food and drinks.

The food and wine came as we made a toast. "To another year full of love and passion," we both toasted. I began to eat paying no mind to my wine glass. I see Ivan lean in, to kiss my forehead. "What was that for?" I asked giggling a bit. "Because I love you," he replied honestly. I smiled and replied,"I love you too". The night continued as I slowly drank my wine.

I was surprised when I tasted something cold and metallic. I pull it out and look at it. My eyes widen as I realize what it is. It was a amethyst jewel with a patterned, silver band. "Surprise Yao-Yao. So what do you say," Ivan smiled as I felt happy tears roll down my face. "Yes, yes. Of course I will," I accepted the proposal and hugged Ivan from across the table. Ivan hugged back and put the ring on my finger. Everyone in the restaurant noticed and cheered. Everyone congratulated us on the new engagement.

Needless to say I was so happy I drunk another bottle of wine and was super drunk. Ivan took me home and I actually went down on my knees and begged him to stay. The next morning I woke up with a huge headache and everything hurt like hell. My siblings claimed the earth shook last night. I blushed and we spent the whole day talking about the new marriage.

Time skip~

Ivan's POV

I stand at the altar and wait for Yao to come out. I start to get nervous. "Don't worry this is going to be awesome," Gilbert reassured. "Yeah, I hope so," I laughed still nervous. I heard the music start. We all look at the church door opening. I see Yao walking over to the isle, all eyes on him. All my nervousness as well as anxiousness washed away as I see my beautiful husband-to-be.

After what felt like an eternity he stood in front of me. The preacher began to speak, but all I could focus on was Yao's hazel eyes looking into my violet ones. His hair was in a French braid hanging over his shoulder. He smiled and blushed. I mouthed a 'your beautiful' and he whispered 'thank you'.

"Ivan Braginsky, do you take Wang Yao to be your beloved husband," I snapped back to reality as the preacher said my name. "Of course," I vowed. "And do you Wang Yao take Ivan Braginsky to be your beloved husband. Through rich and poor, through love and lost and through sickness and in health," the priest turned to face Yao. "Yes I do," Yao nodded his head slightly. "Than I now pronounce you husband and husband. You may now kiss the husband," the priest smiled. Yao and I looked at each other as I gently put my hand on his cheek and pull him closer for a kiss.

After a lot of partying and celebrating Yao and I went to our honeymoon. Mauritius! Apparently it's beautiful there and a perfect place to have your honeymoon. Once we got there we spent the night watching cheesy love stories shedding a tear or two. Yao fell asleep in my arms and I carried him to the bedroom. Both of us climbed inside and Yao immediately cuddled against me. "I love you Yao-Yao," I whisper in his ear. "I love you too Ivan," Yao mumbled in his sleep. I chuckled slightly and also fell asleep, happy to be next to the one I love most.

"If you can love the wrong ones so much, just think of how much you will love the right one."
