Authors Note
Thank you for choosing to read "Falling For You". This is one of my first stories so it might not be as good as some of the others. And please feel free to point out any grammar or spelling mistakes so I can better the story for you guys. Happy Reading!

My name is Madison Barnes and I'm 17 years old. I'm a junior at Omaha Central High school in Omaha, Nebraska. I have dark black hair and bright blue eyes to contrast. I'm only about 5'3", but don't let my height fool you. I've been known to have an attitude.

I just moved to Omaha with my family after my brother passed away. My mother couldn't stand to be in Boston anymore because of all the things that reminded her of him.

My brothers name was Mack. And he was my twin. We did almost everything together. We were best friends.

One day we were taking a walk around downtown, when Mack saw a car speeding towards me, that I did not see. Mack instantly pushed me out of the way. But in doing so, he was hit by the car. He was in a coma for five months before the doctors said there most likely wasn't a chance of him waking up. We waited another month. And still no change.

Finally my parents decided it would be best to let him go. I'll never forget him because he saved my life. He got himself killed so I would live. And I'll never be able to repay him. That's the part that hurts me the most.
That was about a year ago that Mack passed.

My mother became an alcoholic. My father became abusive. One day he just up and left, and I haven't seen or heard from him in months.

Before Mack died, I had a boyfriend. His name was Chris Jenkins. The love of my life, or I thought. One day I caught him with my "best friend" at a party. I thought I loved him, and I thought he loved me back, but I was wrong. Very wrong. I left him. But he found me. He beat me until I bled. Mack came rushing into the room and saw what was happening. Mack was able to get him off of me and out the door. The next I filed a restraining order. And that was the last time I saw Chris. The wound still hasn't quite healed, so I don't know if I'll be able to love ever again. All my love died when Mack did.
