Rolling ('18-'19)

We're falling like a thousand,
No, like a hundred thousand stars
Strangers, two worlds apart, hoping
To meet in a new world and to
Love, deep as the rolling sea.

You always seem to know-
Know the names of stars and flowers,
The feelings which I don't.
Rules never applied to us,
And yet we never knew for certain
So the tide came rolling in.
Do you remember being washed away?
I do.

A life was all we wanted
Full of joy and love.
Commitment's a chore, though.
What little we knew!
I'm looking at rolling clouds now
Thinking of you,
Of what you think of me.

You are in the clouds. I see you.
Wouldn't it be nice to feel you, too.
Get away, before I'm too far gone,
This isn't real.
From misery springs a vision
Any person might know.
Other stars are falling.
Guy them back to the sky.

I look to the stars
Just to see your eyes.
Want to dream with me?
Tell me yes.
You are better than my best dreams.
How is this possible?
I'm falling again,
Feeling the rolling effects of this loss.

'Got to clear my mind.
Make it clear as the rolling hills
You miss me.
Understand that you miss me too.

A/N: For a special treat, read the first word of each line.. I'm particularly proud of this one.
