Emma Perkins was the only survivor of the zombie musical apocalypse in Hachetfield, also known as the apotheosis, or so she thought. As she was leaving the hospital in Clivesdale ( a neighbouring town ), she was informed that a man named Ben Bridges would be escorting her to her new weed farm in Colorado, and apparently, she knew him very well. But, Emma didn't know a Ben Bridges and was frightened to go on a 5-hour car ride with someone she didn't know. That is, until this so-called ''Ben Bridges'' entered the room. Emma started to cry tears of happiness, because this so-called ''Ben Bridges'' was really her old fling, Paul.

''Paul, you made it! We made it'' she said. She hugged him so tight, that all the air came out of him. ''Emma I'm sorry you lost'' she heard him murmur. She was confused, it sounded like he was singing, but Paul hated singing. He started singing again ''Emma. I'm sorry You lost your way.''. This time she knew she wasn't dreaming it, Paul was singing. She suddenly realized exactly what was happening, and in a panic, she started to run away. Paul was one of them. One of the infected, a zombie, a mindless slave to the hive.

She was hurt when she heard that Paul had lost his life destroying the meteor and stopping the apocalypse. But this, this hurt 1000 times more. Seeing Paul like one of them broke her.

He continued to sing ''What if I told you a story. ''.

''No, No! Get away from me your not Paul. You're one of them!'' Emma screamed while trying to run away.

Once she thought she'd lost him, she took a break to catch her breath and rest her leg. ''That settled all the dust?''. She looked up to see Paul, continuing to sing the hive's bull shit to her. She refused to look at him until one line, in particular, caught her attention.

''I'm still the man you trust, It's inevitable for us.".  They locked eyes. At that moment Emma didn't see the mindless zombie, she saw Paul genuinely trying to protect her and she calmed down a bit.

That comfort didn't last for long though, as a group of infected! and people she formerly called friends entered the room. Singing and dancing at her, trying to make her one of them. Paul kept changing the melody of the song, every time they would get close to her, allowing her time to escape.

But, eventually they caught up to her, and she was cornered. In the center of this mob was Paul.

She was so confused, was the man who was just trying to save her, now going to be responsible for her own demise. She kept trying to fight back, but there was no use. There were so many of them and only one of her. She accepted her fate and thought maybe now she could be with Paul.

She started to cry, even more than she already was. Then she heard Paul exclaim "The apotheosis is upon us" while inching closer to her. Suddenly, everything went black.
