OLD WAYS

DIANAS POV

Kelsey came down stairs crying and I engulfed her in a hug.

KELSEY: she's not her anymore she's not there
DIANA: what what do you mean
KELSEY: she she closed off completely

I couldn't help but break down in tears too.

Kelsey ended up leaving not too long after. Maddie Dallas and Eddie came home and immediately knew something was wrong.

EDDIE: what's wrong
DIANA: Demi just not herself anymore
MADDIE: what do you mean mom
DIANA: Kelsey talked to her for a few minutes then she just closed off didn't even respond to Kelsey just laid there emotionless
DALLAS: w-what

After talking for a few minutes with everyone I went to make dinner. I made something light hoping Demi would eat it.

I told Dallas to get Demi for dinner. They came back down and Demi looked really pale.

DIANA: hey dems

I didn't even get a response she just looked at me.
We all sat down and Demi ate her food and went to her room.

DIANA: s-she's okay
DALLAS: how do you know
DIANA: she ate
MADDIE: she's going to purge it you know

It dawned on me Maddie was right.

DIANA: maybe she won't
DALLAS: mom-

We heard the toilet flush upstairs and I broke down in tears.

After I cleaned the kitchen I went up to Demis room.

DIANA: baby

Demi was asleep she was shaking slightly so I put another blanket on her even though she shakes from lack of food.

DIANA: I love you and you are so beautiful

DEMIS POV

I pretended to be asleep when my mom came in. I knew she was lying when she called me beautiful.

I feel asleep only to wake up at 7 am. To get ready for the gym. 

Henri was here at 8 to pick me he talked a little about how much fun he had at the bar and got mad when I didn't respond.

HENRI: your worthless you know I try to have a conversations and this is what I get in return.
DEMI: sorry

He pulls over to the side of the ride and looks at me; I thought for a moment he was going to ask if I was alright but I knew I was wrong when his hand made contact with my face. He slapped me several times I backed up as far as I could before I hit the window. Once he got his anger he started driving again. It took everything in me not to cry.

We rode in silence the rest of car ride I looked in the side mirror and my face was all red. When I walked I to the gym I saw the last person I wanted to see right now I forgot he trained here on sundays.

MIKE: Demi?

I gave him a small wave and Henri came on with a glare on his face. I quickly followed him to a more private area.

HENRI: why is your mom calling me

I just shrug my shoulders talking sounds like too much work these days and Henri always tells me to shut up anyways.

HENRI: just go workout lose weight I'll be in the waiting area

I began working with Chris because he was available.

CHRIS: are you okay

I just nodded my head. We kept working out for about 3 hours when henri said we had to get home. I thanked Chris then headed towards the door where I saw mike again.

I quickly walked passed him he called my name but I ignored it.

The car ride back was silent Henri was focus on driving I kept think about how to lose weight.

When I got home ignore everybody calling my name and went up to my room. I locked the door and took my scale out I weighed about 120 pounds.
