The Hybrid

Chapter One

I was the human in my family, I mean the only human, the rest of my family are werewolves. I am considered the last bloomer, which is complete bullshit because my oldest brother shown signs of becoming a werewolf at 16, unfortunately, I am 20 years old and still haven't shown any signs. Mom would tell me that I will become a powerful wolf because of my postpone, I am still the human, the freak, in the pack. The only people that understand is Mary and Shawn, they have been there since the wolf thing happened with Mike. I meet Mary in Elementary school, she was the "popular" girl, but in reality, is a kick ass biker chick. Now Shawn, I met him in Junior High, he was the brainless jock everyone talked about and wanted to date. Shawn had a persona at school, he wanted to be known because in elementary he was bullied left and right, now he is the one bullying the bullies. I love them very much, even if our asses are one the line because of the other person.

"Tess, where were you yesterday? You missed Mr. Newton getting poned by Shawn," Mary says pulling me into the nearest classroom, which was Mr. Newton's room.

"Mom let me skip because Mike was in trouble and needed our help," I was already stressed out about finals. I don't need drama right now.

"Why didn't you at least call me to let me know before I stood at the entrance looking like a total idiot?" Mary was always the one to worry about her figure during school, even if it wasn't something that would not hurt anything.

"Mary, there was an EMERGENCY, something that needed to be done," I say with a sigh and look around the darkened room, " where is Mr. Newton today anyway? Shouldn't he be here already?"

Mary looked around and nodded her head making he blonde hair bob, "Yeah, where the hell is he?" By the time she finished her sentence, screaming outside the room erupted. Mary and I froze in place and looked at each other and then peaked out the door. The smell of metal wraft around the hallways. Blood.

"Mary, we need to get out of here to warn the pack, NOW!" I looked around the room looking for anything the we could use for a weapon. Jackpot! A blow torch was in the closet.

"Lets get the hell out of here," I opened the door wider and look down the hallway to make sure it was safe for Mary to get out of here and contact the pack. A scream echoed the halls coming from the direction of the gym," Mary, I need you to take this blow torch and get far away from the school," I say turning around just in time to see Mary running out of the back exit. Well, guess I don't have to worry about her getting hurt now.

I walk out of the classroom and head towards the gym where the scream has sounded. I dodged the blood puddles on the white, marble floor as much as I could, damn these shoes were new. I got to the end of the hallway and walk toward the wooden door that goes to the gym, looking through the narrow window of the door. A gasp escaped past my lips when I saw the pile of bodies on the far wall to the huge, empty gym. I put my hand over my mouth and opened the door to the gym, I look around the area and didn't see any other person that is here. Fuck, they must of got out before I got here.

I walk around the bodies and exited the metal door leading outside to look around for any clues to who or what was here to cause this destruction. There was a black van parked at the end of the school building, I look inside to passager window to ensure that there wasn't a driver. No one was in the driver-side, so I start walking towards the van. As soon as I get to the van, a guy came out of the back of the van took meet my bright blue eyes. I am so fucked right now, what the hell am I supposed to do say 'hi, I am here to stop you from destroying my school.' Fuck no!

The tall stranger stares at me for a second until hitting the van twice and smirking at me,"Hello beautiful, what are you doing out here all alone?" He has golden eyes which indicate that he is a vampire. Shit!

"Umm, I was just heading home," I say pointing behind me towards my home, "I was just wandering around and seen the van. I'm sorry, I will be going now," I say with a nervous laugh and turn around.

"I don't think you going anywhere ,sweetheart, you are coming with us,"the stranger says grabbing my arm roughly and start pulling me towards the van. Trying to get out of the grip of this peace of shit, two guys get out of the back of the van with rope and a blindfold. Shit, shit, shit. You have to be fucking kidding me.

The guy that was holding my arm drags me toward the other two guys for them to tie me and blindfold me. Finally getting me tie and blinded, they throw me into the back of the van and drive off to an unknown destination.
