Walking inside the little house, I was expecting Jonah to be waiting for us, instead it was about 7 people and they all have accents. "David!" The mother exclaims and greets him with a hug and a kiss on the cheek. "Who is this?" She asks and David introduces me. "Oh you're-" she starts to say but Jonah interrupts her. "I need to talk to David alone," he says and pulls David away from everyone and leaves me there with these strangers. "Hey I'm Susie," the girl who looks to be my age introduces herself. "I'm Corinne," I say and shake her hand. "So how does David know you?" I ask when I sit down with them in the living room. "I think David found Nick and liked that he looked like Jonah Hill," she says and it all makes sense. "I'm Vardan, are you David's new girlfriend?" He asks and Susie tells him to shut up. "No I'm not, I just work for him," I reply and it's so awkward. "I made bread!" Their mom says and brings in a basket of homemade bread and places it on the coffee table. Everyone is staring at me with anticipation so I grab the bread, silently praying that David comes to relieve me. When I try it though, it's actually amazing. "Wow this is amazing," I say and the mother's face lights up. "I'm so glad you like it, it's David's favorite," she says and sits down. "So how old are you two?" I ask Susie and Vardan trying to make small talk. Before they can answer, I hear Jonah yelling. "You can't have it all, David!" "Shut up dude," David says, calming him down. "There's no telling what that's about," Susie says and it's obvious she knows what it's about. Vardan is smiling from ear to ear. "Vardan you look like you want to say something," I say and he frowns. "Nope, I just really love bread," he says while shoving a piece into his mouth. I nod and tell them about school and where I'm from and David and Jonah finally come out of the room. David motions for me to get up and I do and David takes a few pieces of bread and hugs the mom goodbye. "Bye Corinne, see you later," Jonah says so awkwardly. "Yeah.. bye... nice to meet you guys!" I say and David hurries me out the door. "What was that all about?" I ask and David chuckles, "Jonah just wanted to tell me about his new movie idea." "Oh okay, he is a writer?" I ask and David shrugs. "No he isn't, but he is a dreamer," he explains and we go back to Jason's house where Reggie has been working all day. We walk inside and the walls are covered in murals of David, there's even one where it's the Teletubbies and David is the sun. David has an over the top reaction, which is normal for him. I can't help but think how angry I would be if this was my house, and Jason doesn't even own the house, they rent it. Reggie has to do some final touches but other than that he is done, and honestly it was pretty quick. When we get back to David's house, he walks inside and immediately starts editing. "So are you going to tell me what you and Jonah were really arguing about?" I ask as I'm putting together the description of the vlog. "What makes you think I'm lying?" He asks, not looking up from his computer. "Because it's obvious," I mutter and he smiles. "Jonah wanted me to set you two up, then he got really upset with me when I said no," he admits and my face turns blood red. "God you're adorable," David says while gazing at me. "Okay well thanks for rejecting him for me," I say and it's so awkward for a few moments until David gets a phone call. It must be a work call because David is using his serious tone of voice. "We have to go to a meeting, Monday at 6:30 PM," he says and I start scribbling it down but then I realize,"David I don't work on Monday." "I need you at this meeting, it's potentially really important," he begs and I roll my eyes. "Fine," I say and he smirks. "Thank you, also here's your first check," he says and hands me an envelope. "Okay I'm gonna go put this in the bank," I get up and walk out of the house and he trails behind me. "What are you doing?" I ask. "Well I'm hungry," he says and pops the doors to his Tesla. He takes me to the bank and we get Chipotle, which I have learned he is absolutely obsessed with. "You would eat a burrito on a first date?" He asks when we sit down. "Well we aren't dating, and even if we were this wouldn't be our first date," I reply and he agrees. "Well where are you going to go with Jonah on your first date?" He asks and I almost choke. "David I am never going to go on a date with Jonah," I reply and he laughs, "And why not?" "I'm interested in someone else," I say and his mood immediately changes. "David, you know it's you right?" I ask and he acts cool again. "Yeah, yeah of course," he says and I can't help but laugh at him. "So let's go out on a real date," he suggests and he is so excited. "Do you still have feelings for Liza?" I ask sheepishly, kind of scared of his response. "What? No... we are just friends now, trust me," he says and he seems hurt. "Okay then, yes," I say and his face lights up again. "Yes! We can go next weekend, everything won't be as hectic then," he suggests and I nod with a smile. It's cute how excited he is, and I am too but I try not to get my hopes up too much, it's dangerous to jump into a relationship too fast, I know from experience.
