The practice session got cancelled after 4pm as rain was not stopping. The cricketers left.
Sameeksha made hot chocolate for everyone.
Manjot took his mug and left for his room. Sameeksha signed Bandana to talk to him. She rolled his eyes and left.
Abhishek, Kabir and Lallu Singh sat in front of the tv, on the carpet, while Sameeksha sat on the couch.
"Lallu Singh hot chocolate piega?" Abhishek asked looking at the puppy, "gadha kutte se pooch raha hai hot chocolate piega?" Sameeksha said, Kabir started laughing.
Abhishek looked at Sameeksha, "ab tumhare sawaal hi ese hote hai, me kya karu? Khud hi dikhaa dete ho ke konsi prajati ke ho" She said taking a sip from her mug.
"I was just being nice" He said, "doesn't suit you baby" Sameeksha said with a soft face.
"Baby?" He smirked, "baby to fatafat catch kar lia, gadha bhi vese hi accept karo na" She said. He shook his head.
"Lallu Singh, yaar kesi maalkin rakhi hai tune?" He asked, "Lallu Singh, tum kab se gadho ki bhasha samajhne lage?" Sameeksha asked.
"Accha tum meri baat samajhti ho?" He asked her, she didn't reply. "Matlab samajhti ho. Ab bhasha to same prajati walo ko hi samajh aati hai, to tum kya hui?" He asked.
She looked away. Lallu Singh barked.
She looked at him shockingly, Abhishek started laughing. "Kya cheez hai tu yaar" He said, "ab to iss bezubaan ki bhi zubaan ne keh dia" He said.
"Faltu ghatiya insaan" She said. "Same to you, baby" He smiled.
*******
Manjot was passing by Bandana's room when he saw her sitting in the terrace.
"Thand hai, andar beth jaao" He said, she turned, "nhi, theek hai yehi" She said. He sighed and sat next to her.
"Kal raat se yehi soch rahe ho na ke me kesi ladki hu?" She said after a while.
He was just looking at the rain, "8 saal pehle ki baat hai, ese hi baarish ho rhi thi" She said, he looked at her.
"Tab meri posting Jammu me hui thi, ek raat duty se wapas aa rhi thi. Boht baarish ho rhi thi" She said...
*Flashback*
The rain was not stopping, Bandana wore her BSO jacket and left for home, which was at a fifteen minutes walk away from the camp.
The road was unusually quiet. She heard some footsteps, there was no one behind her when she turned back.
She shook her head and kept walking, after a while, she heard the footsteps again.
When she turned, she saw three people wearing hoodies. One of them placed his hand on her mouth, she kicked him and was about to run when the other two held her arms tightly.
They started beating her up, and when she was weak enough not to fight back, they took her to an under construction building nearby.
She started gaining consciousness when she felt something penetrating her private parts.
The pain made her scream loudly. She tried to fight back, but the men present there tied her with ropes. It was dark, she coudln't see anyone, she didn't even know how many men were present there.
The man laying on her stood up. She tried to get rid of the ropes, but it was not over yet.
When the pain in her lower abdomen was decreasing, another men unzipped his trousers and laid on her.
She was screaming in pain, asking for help, but no one came to help her.
The men left when they were finally done with her. She didn't have the strength to stand up and go home.
*Flashback ends*
"Sunrise hua to me ghar geyi. Sameeksha nujhe hospital lekar geyi. Kucch hafto takk me bas kaam pe jaati thi, aur waha se aati thi. Kucch bolti nhi thi, psychologically itni weak ho chuki thi ke life me koi motivation hi nhi thi" She said.
"Uss incident ke almost ek do mahino baad mujhe pata chala me pregnant hu" She confessed.
"Mere bacche ki koi galati nhi thi isme, to abortion ka socha takk nhi mene" She said, "un rapists me se Kabir kiska beta hai, mujhe nhi pata" She lowered her head.
He stood up infront of her and hugged her tightly, "Kabir sirf tumhara beta hai" He said. She closed her eyes and hugged his waist.
"Mujhe nhi pata tha Kabir itni jaldi mujhse yeh sawaal karega" She said crying, "baccha hai woh, jo dimaag me aaya bol dia. Tum uski fikar mat karo" He said caressing her hair.
"Bas itna yaad rakhna ke tumhari aur Kabir ki isme koi galati nhi thi. Sab tumhare saath hai, me tumhare saath hu" He said.
"Kabir" he said when he saw Kabir standing near the door. He broke the hug, Bandana wiped her tears.
"Aapne kaha tha thodi der me Aaliya ke saath khelenge, aap aaye nhi to mene socha khud hi bula laau" Kabir said to Manjot.
"Oh haan, sorry. Chalo" He said and left.
Bandana looked at him leaving. A smile covered her face. She needed someone to console her the way Manjot did. She didn't expect him to react that way. He made her feel that he was and will always be with her, no matter what.
