She asked, "How did we digress to this subject?" He said, "OK, what is your favorite music?" She said, "Romantic music of just about any Genre." He questioned, "How about Polka music?" She said, "I like a few polkas, and I like some country music." He chuckled, "I can just imagine you in a polka dot dress dancing to Weird Al's Accordion music." She smiled, "I would make it look good." He said, "No argument there, my love. It would make me..." She laughed, "I know, drag me off to your lair and..." He smiled, "The pattern emerges. You've figured me out."
She queried, "They have Karaoke here tonight. You want to show me how to frighten children and stampede cattle?" He laughed, "I hope they have an open mike comedy night. That was pretty good." They finished their breakfast and walked along the boardwalk afterward. The slight wind was rippling the lakes surface in little wavy patterns. A sailboat drifted by in full sail, the couple onboard waved at them, they waved back. "Would you really like to go to Karaoke tonight, Carlene?" She nodded, "I think you have a good voice, I'm the one who will croak out a song and leave it for dead." He said, "I'd pay a nickel to see and hear that. Deal." They walked up to the head of the lake and then back to their cabin.
That evening they got ready and went to the bar. They ate a delicious bar platter and had some drinks. The Karaoke started and since they had alcohol in them, Del and Carlene stepped up to sing. They did Hallelujah and did a passable job of it. Carlene sang lead and Del sang the second part, and they actually got applause for it. They watched the other singers for awhile, then did Only Sixteen by Dr. Hook, from the Seventies. When the bartender turned the mike off, they waited for the dancing. A retro group set up and begin doing doing eighties and nineties hits. The two lovers danced to the slow ones and listened to the fast ones. It was a wonderful night, they finally went back to the cabin at midnight.
They got Au Naturel and went to bed. They wound down with sweet kissing and silly talk. and let their ears stop ringing from the loud music. She said, "I don't think I'll ever get over the sheer joy of sleeping together with you, Del. It's amazing. I never knew how lonely night time was until I had the loneliness stop. It's like getting in your car in winter, you turn on the heater and you really don't discern when the cold stops and the car becomes toasty warm. It's just a wonderful feeling, then you think of how the car was cold before. The contrast is startling when you think of it." He said, "We'll have to write that one down, I like it."
Then the hot kissing got to them and they got out of control. The wanting was like a fire in their inner parts, blazing up in flaming erotic motion. They joined their bodies in passionate submission, crying their pleasure out in bursts of joy. The orgasmic euphoria rippled through their bodies in convulsive waves of pleasure. They got very still, catching their breath in great gasps of air. Then they broke apart and fell on their backs beside one another. He said breathlessly, "You are a magnificent lover, Carlene." She said, "I think you made my heart stop at one point there, Lover." They both started laughing and then got quiet. They faded off into blessed lover's sleep.
The rest of the week went quickly and unforgettably. They enjoyed the beautiful Cerulean lake, they made passionate love, and their joyous hearts were knit together in a fabric of marital beauty. They would never forget these days and nights as long as they lived. Then it was time for them to return home. They loaded the car and began the rest of their married life as they started the journey back to her apartment. They decided to stop by Bellewood Estates and talk it over with Roger Tedder, real estate rep. They described what they wanted, and what they could afford to pay. He assured them it was a racially balanced neighborhood. He showed them a couple of nice homes that fit their needs and wants. They especially liked a three bedroom, two toned light blue starter home in a nice Cul-de Sac with trees all around. It had a deck and a two car garage. The prices were within their budget and was substantially below what their composite outlay for housing was currently. They signed the papers to take to Carlene's Aurora Credit union. They shook Roger's hand and said goodbye. In a half hour, they were at Carlene's apartment.
