I felt a cold breeze, on my back side. I quickly got up, tightening the sport coat around my body. I kept my head down, blushing hard. I can feel all eyes look at me. No one said anything for a while. I felt a soft hand my shoulder. I looked over to see who it was. Maggie with the biggest smile I have ever seen.
"It is alright child."
I have my own wolf. I got her late, but I have one none the less. I smiled back at Maggie, I want to cry. Like have you ever been so, so happy. That you want to cry so you can release some of it out. That is how I feel right now. I looked up at the moon. The moon looked so bright, it looked like it was smiling down on me and only me. Thank you Moon Goddess, for hearing my prays. YOU ROCK!! And . . . you are a rock. Tee Hee. . . Get it, Rock.
"Stella?"
Maggie and I turn to the person that spoke my name. Mother, she had her hand over her mouth. Walking towards us slowly. She was surprised. If I didn't know any better she looked a bit excited as well. . . I don't see why? I thought the first thing to come out her mouth would be 'About time. You have shamed us for the last time.' Or something along those lines.
"Sweetheart, Oh my-"
"Sweetheart? Who Me?"
I pointed to myself, yet I felt like I had to look around me, to see if my sister was standing next to me. The last time my mother ever called me sweetheart was right before my tenth birthday.
"Oh, silly. Of course I'm talking to you."
It's as if no time has passed by, as if she never treated me badly. After nine years of getting bullied and her not doing anything. It would be hard to go back to the way things use to be. Plus after knowing the 'duty' that I know now. Why in the world, would I want to act as if nothing happened.
"So you are talking to me? And calling me sweetheart as well."
"Stella, don't speak to your mother that way."
It was now my father speaking to me. Now he has stopped speaking to me after mother demand him to kick me out. Not one word. Or even looked at. I started to get angry, how could these people act as if nothing happened.
"Don't speak to her that way?"
Was all I could say. I wanted to say so much more, but I could feel Star growling at them from inside. She was ready to rip out and take a stand.
"Don't be rude Stella."
I looked over to Maggie who spoke those words. I was shocked, I felt betrayed.
"Be thankful they gave you birth. So thank them for bring you into this world, but nothing more. It isn't like they raised you."
My mother gasp, my father was dumbfound. I giggled. She had a point. If it wasn't for them I wouldn't be born, but they never took the time to explain to my about the werewolf. I learned everything from Maggie. Every parent had a job to explain to their children about werewolf after they shift.
"How could you say that to me! I raised her! I feed her and clothed her." Mother Snapped.
"And then you kicked her out of your home, let her get picked on. Even kicked her while she was already down."
We all looked behind me to see the guest Alpha speak. Then it hit me like a ton of bricks. That strawberry tangy smell. The sweetness was oozing off him. My mouth watered, I could sink my teeth into him and tastes the sweetness. I couldn't move, my legs wouldn't respond. As if he knew, he walked towards me. Placing an arm around my shoulders. A tingle sensation ran down my spin. My knees started to give out. He just gripped harder for me not to fall.
