Sugar coating it (Kibanaru)

Chapter 3

Naruto's pov

I straighten my mask as i walk beside the big white dog.He covers his brown ears in some sort of paint and his white fur was now littered in black and brown.

It is important to keep everyone in the Anbu a secret and since Akamaru is apart of the Anbu he must cover his identity somehow.I chuckle at my job well done while Akamaru tries not to itch his body while he is drying off.

"Okay well i'm all packed and I guess we'll have lunch on the way back from our mission so i packed you something special, " I winked, even though he couldn't see it, at the big dog who began wagging his tail faster than any wind jutsu i have ever seen.I chuckled and scratched his nose since it was the only place dry enough to touch.

"Hey fox, " A voice shouted.I turned around to see Shikamaru and Kiba at the gate.I smiled to myself abd walked over.

"Is everyone ready, " I asked.Everyone nodded and Akamaru gave me a stern look."Ok good now don't die, "I chuckled.

Shikamaru punched my shoulder but i still continued laughing.Kiba chuckled.

" Hey Deer I need to talk to Fox for a second wait here, "Kida said before grabbing my arm sending shivers up my spine.He began dragging me away.

He finally stopped when we were in a hidden alley way.He took off his mask.His face was red and he looked heated.I took off my mask and gave him a concerned look.

" Kiba are you alright, "I took off my glove and placed my hand on his forehead.He was a bit hot but not a feverish hot.

" N-Naruto come back to me save.I mean it don't get hurt, "His Canines seemed to be growing as his eyes flickered a golden color.

" I'm always careful, "I smiled and slid my hand down to his cheek.His body was so close to mine.I blushed and looked up to see him looking at my lips.He was making me feel hot.What was this feeling?

He backed up and put his mask on.He looked back at me as i slipped my glove back on.

" If anyone hurts you I will kill them, "He growled lowly.I smiled and slipped my mask on.

" Not if Akamaru gets to them first, "I joked.He let out a soft chuckle and in a quick movement, he wrapped his arms around my waist and he pulled me into a hug.I hugged him back blushing a bit.He began rubbing his cheek against mine.

His scent made it's way to my nose.He smelt like morning dew and some forest smell but it was nice.Why was Kiba acting this way?He is never this worried about me..Could he really be sick but somehow looked past it?

I moved back because his mask was pressing against my skin.He rubbed the back of his neck.

" Sorry Naruto, "He chuckled.I just smiled and waved him off.Did i just realized how tangled together we were?All of our body parts were rubbing together.Did i not feel it?Thank god my little friend didn't decide to butt in.

We got untangled and made our way back to Shika and Akamaru.They were having a staring contest but Akamaru broke it when he saw me.I smiled when i saw his tail begin to wag.His paint was fully dry so he took the advantage and pounced on me but this time i caught him in my arms.

" You must really like jumping on me, "I chuckled.I glanced over at Kiba who seemed a bit jealous of his own dog.I chuckled a little.

" What's so funny, "Kiba grumbled.

" Oh nothing, "I smiled.I began walking with Akamaru in my arms." Remeber we have a deadline.Now I'm heading out, "I nodded to Shikamaru before setting the big dog on the ground and we both took off.
