Sugar coating it (Kibanaru)

Chapter 12

At the begining of the trip Naruto kept complaining about everyone being to slow.Everyone could tell he was just waiting for something to pop out of nowhere at them.Sasuke tried yelling at the blonde like he normally did to see if the boy would act differently but he didn't.

Naruto was indeed afraid but he would never admit that.He just wanted to get to the destination which was a small and safe campsite that they would stay at till his team came along to stalk Team 7.

Shikamaru was the one to calm down the blonde.He gave his fox friend a drink which was like a little drink that would calm his nerves and the raging demon fox inside of him but unfortunately calm and quiet Naruto was making everyone's nerves skyrocket.

Kakashi, Sasuke, and Shikamaru were the only ones who didn't show it.Well Naruto as well but he was kinda calm and to dazed to care what was going on.He should snap out of it soon though.

Before anyone could speak up, Naruto's head shot up in one direction.His eyes were red and Shikamaru could see the small outline of his ears and tails.He stopped and kept staring at the spot.Everyone else stopped as well.Kakashi looked up and gasped.

Shikamaru looked up and a strong blast of Killer intent hit him causing him to gasp as well.The other three of course didn't feel it cuz they couldn't pinpoint the direction.Before a plan was formed,  Naruto jumped high and from limb from lip as his claws came out helping him climb.His whiskers got thicker and his tails and ears finally appeared.

"He is like a cute ferocious fox pup, " Sasuke mumbled.Sakura and Sai agreed.Shikamaru agreed but said nothing.Kakashi was the same way.Shikamaru ordered the three to stay where they were and Kakashi would take care of them before he darted up the tree following Naruto.

The blonde made it to the spot but the person had gone and left a messenger falcon instead.Naruto shifted back to his regular form after making sure in everyway possible the person and any other person was gone.

The bird flew to his shoulder and he took the small paper out.He skimmed the page and sighed.He felt so dumb now.Shikamaru made it up and looked at Naruto.

"Not a threat.It was just a sand Anbu.They normally have a high Killer intent but they didn't have to freak us out.Anyways Gaara just wanted to know when i could visit.Yes i already checked to see if it was a fake and i confirmed it was a sand ninja after backtracking their scent, " Naruto handed Shikamaru the letter.The black haired male chuckled and gave Naruto a small slip of paper and something to write with.

Naruto wrote Gaara a letter and sent the bird off to deliver the message.He then explained what happened and they carried on.They finally made it to the camp and found out they had to share.Naruto got his own tent for very special reasons.
