Two more chapters and an epilogue before the sequel! I'm so sorry if this makes anyone cry, it had to be done.

I made it.

Four years in a row I made it to the Frozen Four championship. I did it. And now I was going to take it home my third championship on a 5-0 shutout with my best friends. Someone tell me how St. Could had fallen apart because we were dominating the last three quarters. Then again, maybe it was because I was feeling the pressure not to make any mistakes. The last two weeks I had spent relentlessly practicing on the ice, desperately working to play the best game of my life.

Who would have known there would be a shutout in the championship? It was unheard of but here I was with Seb and Zeke on defense, playing like our lives depended on it. It seemed that the rumors about my relationship with Beck and our 'declining' performance, everyone was motivated to push the limits. I had laser sharp focus, but I had to admit I was turned on as fuck watching my boyfriend make everyone his bitch.

I hadn't ever felt this much adrenaline pumping through my veins, feeding off the crowd in the Yale ice rink. I was more than happy the championships were being held in Connecticut this year; it was practically home field advantage. I knew Finn and Sylvia were in the crowd with Jason and Al, cheering on not only me, but Seb, Axel and Beck. This is what every day should feel like; victory. I could smell it in the crisp air.

Nothing could bring me down off my high as I watched Axel take a shot on goal, sending the midnight disk over the crimson goalies shoulder. I watched intently as Beck took possibly the last face off of his college career; Coach was going to take the first sting off the ice soon enough. The game was almost over.

Like the champion he was, Beck won the face off with his bitter faced opponent who had already excepted his loss. Beck glided up the rink like the ice was covered in a coat of oil. I watched as he passed the puck to Jonah, a defender slamming into Beck as he shouldered the large player back, the whistle filling the air. The possession was given to Jonah again but Beck and the defender had to back up their position, taking both of them out of range.

Jonah had a clear shot when the whistle blew, taking his best opportunity before a defender could get on him. Sadly, the St. Cloud goalie stopped it with his stick, passing it to their center player. The short and wide set man managed to barely slip by Axel, crossing the restraining line with Beck hot on his tail. Beck's wooden stick lurched in front of him to try and stop the puck as the center tried to pass to Ben.

It was like the world stopped as Ben captured the puck, his hockey stop spraying ice up in Sebastian's face by accident as the sharp stop caused Ben's body to tip. As his smaller body fell to the ground, Zeke, who was already hot on Ben's trail to check him, tried to stop but ended up knocking Ben's shoulder. Seb was already falling on the ground, Ben's leg accidentally taking the larger defenders footing out from under him. Even though Sebastian's back was to me, I saw the skate get bumped up into his flesh like time had frozen, trapping everyone in a position more ridged that the ice we were skating on.

As soon as I saw red on the pure ice, I ripped my gloves off so fast that my brain didn't even know it was helping until my helmet was on the ground my knees on the ice, flying to Sebastian's side. My eyes went wide as his body rolled over, a deep crimson gash in the side of his neck, gushing blood with every pump of his pounding heard. His dark hands were already on his neck, having ripped his helmet off immediately.

Screams filled the air, replacing the roar of the crowd with yells for help. My hands fumbled to push on his warm neck, getting coated with blood. I could have sworn I heard a player puking as people yelled to turn the cameras away. My ears were beating with the thump of my heart, the only thing on my mind was the wet feeling on my hands.
