Death Call

Elisa walked into the living room to see her parents laying dead in a pool of blood, she whimpered and held on to her teddy bear, she was scared but managed to take the note tacked into her dad's pajamas.
It had a rabbit holding a gun drawn on it, her young brain didn't know what it meant neither understood what to do with the note but she hid it from everyone.

    In the morning, the police swarmed the house and took young Elisa away, her statement was taken but not once did she mention the little note and symbol she saw.
  For she remembered her parents normally drummed it into her head _"never trust anyone, not even us"_

   She was sent to an orphanage and no matter how hard it was for her to adjust she did, went to school and she worked extremely hard, not for once did she let that note slip or ever let anyone see it, she knew that was the only clue to finding who killed her parents and she wasn't ready to let anyone take it..

    After so many years Elisa had grown into a beautiful intelligent woman who wasn't easily swayed by the glitz around; she was nerdy much and she had no fashion sense, all she cared about was wearing her sweatpants (even if it is to the ball she didn't care)

    "Come on Elisa get out of bed" her best friend Sylvia yelled and threw a pillow to hit her face, Elisa didn't move, she pretended not to have heard Sylvia's yell and continued her sleep, "Come On Elisa! Today is the first day of College and you are laying in bed like a freaking corpse!!" Sylvia was fuming but that's when Elisa woke up rubbing her eyes.

  Elisa yawned and looked at the alarm clock close to her bed "Shit!" she rushed to the bathroom, had a quick shower, wore her sweatpants with a faded top and was about to take her schoolbag when Sylvia looked at her in shock "Tell me you aren't wearing those to school?" pointing at Elisa's dressing.
"So what if I am, who cares?" she nonchalantly replied, "You fucking psycho, this is goddamn college, you can't be looking like this, come on I got you new clothes"

Elisa rolled her eyes and tried on the dresses Sylvia got her and she settled on a simple floral one which showed of her great legs, Sylvia did her makeup after much convincing, "You look hot" Sylvia teased and fanned her as if she was on fire.

Elisa giggled and blushed, she took her bag and headed out with Sylvia.

Elisa's POV
I rushed to my class hoping not to be late, I didn't want my professor to have a bad impression of me on my first day, I had fought so hard to get in college to study criminology and become a detective so I could get to the bottom of my parents murder.

"And that's all for today class, I hope you enjoyed today's lesson see you soon" the professor was done with class and I had one more class for the day..

I was looking around not paying much attention and I bumped into someone, "Sorry I didn't mean to - - - -" I trailed off as I raised my head to see the most gorgeous man I have ever seen (not as if I encountered any men)
He chuckled and helped me pick my stuff, I headed to the next class but all I could think about was the handsome man I had seen, he was captivating.

    I looked for Sylvia after class and we headed to a pizzeria to get some pizza to eat, I was still thinking of the man I had seen, "Are you even listening to me?!" Sylvia silently screamed, I was jolted into the present and I apologised for what happened, I told her about the man I had seen and she squealed in excitement.

Of course she was happy to know her best friend isn't gay even though she had never taken a liking to anyone.
She asked me how he looked like and if I'll wish to see him again which I nodded with my mouthful of pizza.
   Was I having a crush on a mystery man I had only bumped into?
