Once the girl was patched up and asleep, Fade turned to her companion and grabbed his arm. Pulling him into the yellow light of the hotel hallway, he glared at him as he leaned against the floral and beige wall. The blonde boy stared at him with his brown eyes as Fade's crimson eyes stared right back at him; waiting for him to explain the heck was going on and why they were in the hotel at night. "Thank you for saving her, but I really should be..." The blonde boy started as Fade crossed his arm across his chest, blocking him from the door to the room where the girl was sleeping.
His fair skin a stark contrast to his black attire. His tailcoat reaching his knees in a grey trim that bordered the rest of his coat laying over his red vest that rested overlapping the white button-up shirt. His pants were a black slack with a red pinstripe that ran down from his hip to his ankle. Black boots peeked from under his hem and a plethora of weapons found their homes around his waist. A small ring, too small for it to be Fade's, hung around his neck next to another that looked to fit him and yet he wore it around his neck.
"You ain't going back in there till you tell me just why the hell you didn't help her? She clearly asked you to and you stood there petrified, didn't you Able Morrison?"
"How do you know who I am?" Able asked as he went for a pitiful blade on his hip. Smirking, Fade unlaced his arms walking to Able as he placed a hand on his blade hidden under his tailcoat. "Your face is plastered over every station and what person doesn't know the man who runs around statching up people who aren't upgraded yet. New flash bud, I'm the A- hole who got away." he glared as Able stepped closer to him, his hand going to touch his chest. A thin scar ran along his chest where his father had upgraded his heart and next to it was a thicker scar that ran from his throat to just above his heart.
"That's right, I do remember you." Able glared as he stepped forward to confront him. The two men glared at each other in a standstill. As the tension rose, a boy with white hair stepped out from a room down the hall breaking their silence, "O-oh, I'm sorry. Was I interrupting something its just I heard a scream and was hungry and wanted to find out what that scream was and also get food," the boy shuddered as he spoke looking at Fade's blade then to the floor. "Its nothing."
"Are you sure? Looked like you guys were going to stab each other."
"I said it was nothing so that means it's nothing." Fade raised his voice at the boy who ducked back into his room. Fade glared at Able once more as he went back into the room with the girl.
Locking the door behind him, Fade watched as she woke from her sleep. "Mornin' Kid. How ya' feeling?" He asked as she just lifted her head to find where she was. Feeling the bandages on her shoulder, the girl's eyes sharpened as she reached for a pair of scissors next to her. She looked more scared than intimidating, which made Fade let out a chuckle as he stepped closer to her.
She held the scissors to defend herself as he stepped closer. As Fade drew near he saw the Upgrade she had implanted into her eye. It wasn't much, but he could see the robotic eyes move as her other did. The girl's hair was a lavender color that looked like if she were standing it would be at her waist. Her eyes and hair had changed, but she looked vaguely familiar. "That's not the way you should- WOOH!" Fade tried to talk to her as she lunged at him. Her scissors cutting a piece of his hair. As the blue clump fell to the floor, Fade grabbed the scissors from the girl and turned her to face him. "Chill, I saved your ass. If I wanted to kill you don't you think I wouldn't have helped you? Don't you? Sheesh, you do one good thing and your hair gets snipped off." he let go of her and looked at his hair where she had cut it. It wasn't much but enough that he wanted to make a big deal about it.
The girl sat on the bed and apologized, "I'm sorry. I'm not used to waking up on a bed with someone trying to help me."
"Well, then you must not have good taste in men."
"WHAT?! No, no, no, no not that. My- no I can't even call him that anymore, Dr. Fletcher used me as an science fair experiment." she spoke as she looked at her arm. Fade had reattached the bionic one to her arm with better screws and nerve endings. Once she had said that she was used as an experiment he felt bad that he reattached it and didn't leave it off for her not to have to live in as much pain. He went to sit next to her putting his hand on the bed next to her, "Well if you aren't going to tell me your name I'll have to give you a nickname. Hmmmm, what should it be?" he thought for a moment before he finally thought of the perfect one, "Ah-Ha! I got one! I'll call you Snips." he smiled as she rolled her eyes at him as he stood up to let Able in to the room.
As he did she stood up and put her hand on his arm, "Please don't. I don't want to see him, not right now. Please." She smiled. Then it hit him, this girl was the daughter of the man who killed his brother. "You're Kristin Fletcher." He mumbled looking back at her as she backed away, "Please, I'm not like Malcom and Fletcher. They did this to me. I beg you, don't turn me in. I left to find something to help me kill the men who killed my mother." She looked terrified at the idea of going back. Fade shook his head as he took in a deep breath.
"Please." She whispered as she slowly fell to the ground. Fade caught her in his arms as she fainted from too much excitement. He held her head in his lap as he looking over her body, seeing what they did to this innocent girl he sighed moving a piece of hair from her eye, "Alright Snips, I will help you kill those bastards."
