My Family (Stephen Strange)

Chapter 2

Hazel placed a hand on her stomach and looked down. She was pregnant. She was pregnant and the baby was Stephen's. The baby was Stephen's. How was she going to raise a child? Let alone take care of herself when pregnant and looking for Thanos?

"I can't be," Hazel whispered.

"Hazel what do you mean you can't be Hazel," Steve asked.

"Pregnant. I can't be pregnant. I lost Stephen and when I got pregnant from my rapist I lost the baby. I don't want to lose this baby. So I can't be pregnant."

She walked out of the room and down the hall. The first room she walked into was Sam and Bucky's room. She took two pieces of clothing then walked into Stephen's room and took something of his clothing. Then she walked into her room, slipped on the clothes she took, and laid on her bed. The clothes she took from Sam and Bucky's room were one of Sam's shirts and a pair of Bucky's sleeping pants. What she took from Stephen's room was one of his hoodies. Each piece of clothing smelled like the person she took them from.

"Hazel, can we talk?"

Hazel looked at the doorway and saw Bruce standing there.

"No. Now go away."

"You can't just walk away from this and pretend you aren't pregnant and hope this will go away."

"I'm not pretending this is gonna go away, Bruce. I'm wishing that my dad's and Stephen were here. I wish that all three of them were here. I can't want to go through this alone. I don't go through this alone. I know everyone in the tower will be here for me but the three people I really need aren't here. And I want them here just so they can be here for the entire pregnancy."

"They may not be here but we'll record everything for them so when they come back they can watch the video and see your entire pregnancy. From your flat stomach to your first-morning sickness, to your first sonogram, to your first craving, to your mood swings, to the first kick, to the gender. I'll record it all so they can see it," Tony said walking into the room with a camera.

"I will smack you Uncle Tony if you record me puking in the morning."

"No, you won't. Now lift up your sweater and shirt so Barnes, Wilson, and Strange can see your stomach before it gets bigger."

Hazel laughed but lifted up her sweater and shirt showing her flat stomach. Nat and Steve came into the room and saw Tony with a camera, Bruce near Hazel's bed, and Hazel on her bed with her shirt and sweater lifted up showing her stomach.

"Guys say high to the camera," Tony said moving the camera to Steve and Nat.

"Alright, Buck, Sam, and Stephen we promise to keep Hazel and her baby safe. As long as we are around nothing will happen to them. Hazel got anything to say," Steve asked.

Tony moved the camera to Hazel and everyone waited.

"Dad, Pops, I love you guys. Stephen, when you come back and are pissed that you weren't here for everything remember that I love you. I really do wish that you guys are here so you can help me but I think I'll be fine because," Hazel stood up and took the camera from Tony showing everyone in the room, "everyone in this room will help me. Especially Nat. Because if anyone makes fun of me she WILL pull out her widow bites."

Hazel placed the camera on her desk and fixed it so it was faced with everyone in the room. She walked in between Steve and Tony and wrapped her arms around them.

"I got a pretty good family right here. And when everyone comes back we'll have to explain how I'm pregnant and who's the father but when you guys watch this Stephen you are the father to this baby. Based on Tony's math I'm a month pregnant and Stephen you're the only one I've been with."

"We got her guys. Now I'm pretty sure Tony and Nat are gonna pressure Hazel for them to be the baby's godparents---" Steve was cut off by Tony and Nat.

"Hell yeah, we are!"

"Language! But we'll let Hazel choose. Even if it means we have to keep Tony and Nat away from her."

"We'll protect her. And help her through everything," Bruce said.

"We love and miss you guys," Everyone said.

Hazel walked up to the camera and saved the video before turning off the camera. She handed the camera to Tony and sighed.

"Are you guys really gonna be able to help me through my pregnancy? I mean I can do this on my own. You shouldn't have to put more time on your schedules to help me take care of me and my child," Hazel said.

"You're our family Hazel. You've been there for us since you came to live with us now it's our turn. We're gonna be here for you. No matter what," Tony said.

Hazel hugged him as her enchantlet started to glow a bright blue. She flicked her wrist and a rope came out making a circle that showed Nebula, Shuri, Rocket, and Thor.

"Congratulations," Thor and Shuri yelled while Rocket and Nebula just gave small smiles.

"Thank you, guys. Tony wants to film every first thing about my pregnancy. From morning sickness to sonograms, to kicks, to first maternity shirt, to the gender, to everything. He wants to film everything," Hazel said.

"Well, he should. And you need to visit for a week in everyone one of your pregnancy months so we can see you. Better yet why don't you come to live out here? We have plenty of rooms in the castle for you to stay in," Shuri said.

"Yeah no. We need to stay in New York. I'm gonna look through S.H.I.E.L.D flies to find if any superheroes. Then I'm gonna visit them to see if they survived. If they did survive then I'm going to ask them if they want to join the fight against Thanos. If they don't they don't but if they do then they do."

"Who are you gonna look for," Thor asked.

"Every superhero team. Fantastic Four, X-Men, Runaways. Every team I'm gonna track down and ask if they want to help fight the final battle against Thanos. Maybe we'll find---'

Boss, there is an unknown person flying up the side of the building to the living rooms open window.

Everyone ran into the living room and hid in different areas. As soon as the person flew in they came out of their hiding spots and pointed weapons at her. It was when she took off her mask that everyone saw what she looked like. The lady looked around the room until her eyes landed on Natasha.

"Are you Hazel Barnes," The lady asked.

"No. Who are you," Natasha asked.

"I'm looking for Hazel Barnes."

"I'm Hazel Barnes. Who are you and what do you want," Hazel asked dropping down from the vent.

"My name is Carol Danvers. Nick Fury sent me."
