Chapter 10

"Fuck. OK. It's gonna be OK. I can do this. I can do this. I can't do this. I can't do this," Hazel cried.

"Hazel just breathe. We're all here for you. And Levi can wrap around your stomach to hide the bump but he can't hide the ring," Steve said.

"No Uncle Steve. I have to tell him. About both things. God this is gonna be so hard."

"Hazel," Stephen asked.

Hazel turned around as Levi covered her stomach and she hid her left hand behind her back.

"You're okay. You're okay," Stephen breathed.

"Yeah, I'm okay. I'm always gonna be okay when you're around," Hazel said.

"Your surprises! What were your surprises?"

"Hehe, funny story. Um, a month after the snap I went to the sanctum to see if I could find any of your old magic books to help and instead I found Wong. He told me how you wanted to propose to me but couldn't 'cause Thanos was coming so you recorded yourself instead," Hazel moved her hand from behind her back, "He showed me the video then gave me the ring. By the way, I say yes. Yes, I will marry you, Stephen Vincent Strange. But there's more. After the snap, I started feeling fatigue and I found out why."

"What is it. Are you dying?"

"No, I'm not dying. Stephen, I'm pregnant. And you're the father. I'm sorry I never told you when we would meet in the room. I wanted to surprise you for when you came back and when Tony decided to throw me a baby shower/gender reveal we had no idea that the battle against Thanos was going to be today until I had a premonition about it during my first month. Please don't be mad at me. And Stephen I'm really really sorry that I---"

Hazel was cut off by Stephen kissing her. When they pulled away Hazel looked at the ground. Stephen used two fingers to lift up her chin and make her look at him.

"I'm not mad Hazel. I'm happy. I'm happy 'because you said yes to marrying me. I'm happy because you and I are going to have a child. I'm happy that I'm back with you. But I'm also sad. I'm sad because I wasn't here for everything to do with the pregnancy. I'm sad because you had to go through everything without me here---"

"Stephen you're here now. That's all that matters. Besides, I think Tony will be happy that he won't continue to gain my pregnancy weight," Hazel laughed.

"Hell yeah I am," Tony shouted only to be smacked by Steve.

"Wait Tony gained your pregnancy weight," Stephen asked.

"Yeah. Took him a few days to figure it out," Hazel said.

Stephen wrapped his arms around Hazel and placed a kiss on her head. Hazel sighed and leaned into his touch. Sadly the moment was ruined by Tony.

"Hazel, we gotta do the gender reveal," Tony shouted.

"I'm coming! I'm coming! Sheesh let a billionaire plan my baby shower and suddenly I'm on a time limit," Hazel mumbled walking over to Tony.

Once she reached Tony he had her and Stephen stand across from each other. He handed Stephen a ball and looked at the two of them.

"This is the gender reveal. Stephen, you and Hazel will throw this ball back and forth until one of you drops it. When the ball hits the ground and shatters the paint will spill out and the gender will be revealed. Get it? Got it? Good," Tony said.

Stephen and Hazel took a few steps back before he threw the ball and Hazel caught it. Just as Hazel was about to throw the ball back Tony decided to speak up.

"Both of you take a step back then Hazel throw the ball back to Stephen," Tony shouted.

Both of them took a step back before Hazel threw the ball back to Stephen. This went on for about three minutes before Stephen dropped the ball and it shattered. He looked at the paint and yelled: "IT'S A GIRL!"

"Bruce you owe me $30. You have till this Friday to pay up or I'm legally allowed to kill you," Hazel shouted.

Bruce walked over to Hazel and handed her the $30 before he walked away. Stephen walked to Hazel and wrapped an arm around her.

"You do realize that you need to tell your dad right," Stephen asked.

"I'm a dead girl," Hazel said.

"Damn right you are," Bucky said from behind Hazel.

Hazel turned around and looked at her dad.

"No killing Stephen," Hazel shouted.

"I'm not. I just can't believe you didn't tell me," Bucky said.

"Well for starters you and Pops were in another world so how was I meant to tell you. Two, I was trying to hide from all three of you so I wouldn't get my head chewed off. That obviously didn't work."

"Yeah, no shit Sherlock."

"Shut it, Dad. Or you and Pops won't get to see your grandchild."

"That's mean. Even though you're kidding."

"So what's the gender of the baby," Sam asked walking up to the three and wrapping an arm around Bucky's shoulder.

"Stephen and I are having a baby girl. And no you can't spoil her," Hazel said.

"So are we gonna pick out names," Stephen asked.

"I had one name each gender but now that I know it's a girl the name is Kristina Dawn Hope Barnes-Strange. I hyphenated the last names 'cause I am gonna take Stephen's last name I wanted her to have part of my dad's last name and her dad's last name. I didn't want to put it as just Barnes."

"It's a beautiful name. And Kristina's mother is even more beautiful," Stephen said.

Hazel placed her head in her hands as a blush spread across her cheeks.

"Hazel we did buy many gifts," Tony shouts.

"God damn it, Tony! I said not too many gifts! Again this is what I get for letting a billionaire plan my baby shower/gender reveal," Hazel mumbled.

She walked up to Tony and gently grabbed the baby he was holding out for her. Hazel pulled out two onesies. One was red and yellow that read: "Iron Man is my favorite Uncle." The other one was a red, white, and blue one that read: "Captain America is my third favorite Uncle."

"Tony no," Hazel said.

"You gotta admit. It's funny," Tony said.

Hazel laughed and opened the next gift. Ten gifts later Hazel had enough baby clothes, bottles, diapers, and pacifiers to last her baby a month. A few of her favorites were baby outfits that looked like animals that Steve bought. A lion, a dinosaur, a bear, a panda, a tiger, and an elephant. Everyone cleaned up and went to their rooms in Wakanda for some shut-eye before leaving for America in the morning. In Hazel's room, Stephen helped her pack the baby stuff before changing into clothes that Hazel conjured for him and laid on the bed. Hazel walked out of the restroom in a baggy shirt and pants. She climbed into the bed and laid on her right side facing Stephen.

"Are you mad," Hazel whispered.

"No. I'm not mad and I never will be mad at you OK? I can never be mad at you. You're my fiance and the mother to my child. I can never and will never be mad at you," Stephen said.

Hazel turned and laid on her left side. Stephen wrapped an arm around Hazel's waist as he moved close to her so her back was against his chest. He gently placed a hand on Hazel's stomach and fell asleep. Hazel smiled and placed her hand on top of Stephen's and followed him off to dreamland.
