For two hours Hazel walked through Wakanda. Little kids ran up to her wishing her the best of luck against Thanos. One of the kids even handed her a drawing they made of her winning against Thanos. Hazel had to admit that she cried. She grabbed a nearby stick and looked at the little girl who gave her the drawing.
"Wanna see a magic trick," Hazel asked.
The little girl nodded her head really fast making Hazel smiled. She moved her fingers making a pinkish-purplish color surround them.
"Let's show this girl I have powers, cover this stick in different kind of flowers."
The spell hit the stick and a bunch of flowers showed up. Hazel handed the stick to the little girl who took it with a smile. The girl ran off and Hazel continued her on her walk. She reached the clearing from when the final battle with Thanos happened. This is where she lost her Dad and Pops.
"Hazel?"
She turned around and saw Tony standing there.
"What happened Uncle Tony? Logan kill someone," Hazel asked.
"No but he might kill Deadpool soon," Tony laughed.
"Deadpool can't die. He's immortal. You can kill him but he won't die fully. Even by chopping off his head he'll grow a new one back."
"You know Steve's sorry for when he yelled at you?"
"I know but I just wanted to be alone."
Tony wrapped his arms around Hazel and sighed. She laid her head on his chest and leaned into his hold. Another two weeks passed and Hazel was laying in the medbay in Wakanda with Bruce, Steve, Shuri, Tony, Nat, Clint, Thor, and Wong. Bruce was giving her a sonogram check up and everyone else was there for support.
"OK, Hazel the baby seems doing okay and you seem to be healthy too. Even though you can not feel it your baby is moving. Your baby is now a fetus and a third of the baby is now made up by its head. Can everyone but Steve please leave the room," Bruce asked.
Everyone was hesitant but they left the room without argument. Steve was still recording as Hazel wiped the gel off her stomach and sat up as Bruce sat on a chair next to her.
"Uncle Bruce is something wrong with the baby," Hazel asked.
"Nothing is wrong with the baby. Out of Tony, Steve, Clint, Wong, Thor, and I if Stephen were to not come back, and this is hypothetical, who would probably be a father figure to your baby," Bruce asked.
"Probably Tony."
When Hazel said that Bruce burst out laughing. Once he calmed down he took a deep breath and look at Hazel.
"OK. Hazel since you think Tony maybe a father figure to your baby if Stephen were to not come back Tony would have nausea, abdominal pain, appetite changes, and weight gain. From your cravings and eating so much Tony probably have appetite changes and gain your pregnancy weight."
As soon as Bruce said that Hazel started laughing along with Steve. When they stopped laughing they looked at Bruce with shock.
"So you're saying Tony is going to gain Hazel's pregnancy weight," Steve asked.
"Yep," Bruce said.
Steve stopped recording and walked out of the room with everyone.
(3rd month)
Hazel was in the middle of her third month of pregnancy when Tony found out that he was gaining her pregnancy weight. At first, he didn't realize it until he started noticing that his appetite was changing. The day he found out he walked into the living room where everyone was sitting.
"Hazel Ava Marie Barnes-Strange you are so dead," Tony yelled walking into the living room.
Nat pulled out her widow bites, Steve grabbed his shield from behind the couch, Clint grabbed his bow and arrows, Wong had orange surrounding his wrist, and Bruce just glared at him.
"One, Tony stop yelling. Two, what am I dead for," Hazel asked.
"You know what you're dead for."
"Um no, I don't."
"You're smiling. You know what I'm talking about."
"OK fine. I know what you're talking about. But it's Uncle Bruce's fault. He told me your appetite would change and you would experience weight gain. The weight you would gain would be my pregnancy weight."
"Who knew about it?"
"Bruce, Steve, and I."
Tony sat on Hazel's right side as he wrapped an arm around her shoulders sighing.
"Be lucky that I love you or you would be hanging out with Steve so he would gain your pregnancy weight."
(4th month)
Hazel was back in the same room as her third month check up and everyone was with her. Except for this time, she would be able to hear the baby's heartbeat. Just like before Bruce put the gel on Hazel's stomach and moved the wand around her stomach. When the baby showed up on the screen Hazel smiled seeing her baby.
"Hazel everything seems to be going OK. Your baby's fingers and toes are well-defined. After this sonogram, I'll bring out an instrument called the Doppler. It'll allow you to hear the baby's heartbeat. Once you can hear it I'll record it so you can listen to it whenever you want," Bruce said.
"Hey, Uncle Bruce. Mothers instinct. My child will be a girl," Hazel said.
"I bet $30 it's gonna be a boy."
"$30 it's gonna be a girl. Shake on it?"
Hazel held out her hand for Bruce to shake. Bruce shook it with a small smirk on his face. Once the first part of the sonogram was over Bruce brought out the Doppler machine. The gel was still on Hazel's stomach so Bruce just moved the wand around. As soon as the wand stopped moving a strong heartbeat was heard around the room. Tears were brought to Hazel's eyes as she heard the heartbeat. Bruce had Steve, who handed the camera to Tony, hold the Doppler as he recorded the baby's heartbeat. Once he had gotten two minutes of the recording.
"There's more good news to your baby Hazel. Since your baby's most crucial development has now happened since your third month of pregnancy your chances of a miscarriage have dropped drastically," Bruce said.
Hazel wiped the gel off her stomach and everyone walked into the living room.
(5th month)
Hazel was back in the same room as the last two months for check-ups. Except for this time, it was the gender. Tony was planning a gender reveal/baby shower so Hazel wasn't allowed to know the gender. Steve wasn't filming this sonogram like the last times. He's gonna film the gender reveal/baby shower. Instead of the regular people in the room, it was just Tony, Bruce, and Steve.
"You sure you wanna let Tony throw you a gender reveal/baby shower," Steve asked.
"Yes. Tony just don't make it extravagant. Nice and simple will do. A few gifts for the baby," Hazel said.
"I can work with that," Tony said.
Bruce wrote something down on a piece of paper, put it in an envelope, and handed it to Tony. Two days later the baby shower/gender reveal was in a full sing. Everyone had brought gifts and were all talking. Hazel walked to the table that was meant for her and the original Avengers plus the new Avengers for when they came back since this is where the battle was meant to happen, and Shuri. Shuri was sitting with Hazel when Tony ran up to her. He opened his palm and showed her the Soul Stone.
"Everyone listen up," Hazel yelled.
No one was listening so Steve yelled: "Everyone shut it!" That made everyone shut up.
"Thanks, Uncle Steve. Tony got the Soul Stone. Thanos is coming now. Once we kill Thanos we destroy the Soul Stone and everyone comes back. Now suit up. I'm gonna stay in this. One, my battle suit doesn't fit me 'cause of my stomach is now showing. Two, I'm gonna stick close to Carol so this way we can protect each other so when we have to hold down Thanos we can do it."
With that said everyone got ready for the final battle.
