My Family (Stephen Strange)

Chapter 5

For two hours Hazel was looking through S.H.I.E.L.D files and Wong used Mystic Arts. Hazel looked through one more electronic paper before throwing her pencil on the table groaning.

"Need a nap," Wong asked.

"And food. A nap and food. But I can't," Hazel said.

"Why not?"

"I need to look through these files. I've only got about three pages left to read. After I read them I'll take a nap and then we can go and look for these teams and people."

"OK."

Hazel read the last three pages and wrote down some names then closed her laptop. Her eyes started to droop as she let sleep overtake her. Levi came over to Hazel and covered her like last night. Three hours later Hazel woke up at 12 pm. She picked up the papers of teams and superheroes and looked through them. One name on the paper caught her eye. Aaron Hotchner. She grabbed her phone and dialed his number. It took a few rings before he answered.

Hazel?

Yeah, it's me Hotch. How is everyone?

Um, Morgan, Penelope, and Emily turned to dust. Hazel, how did this happen?

I'll tell you in a minute Hotch. You're an enhanced individual.

How do you know that?

I hacked S.H.I.E.L.D files and started looking for enhanced individuals. Now I'm gonna tell you what happened. There was a mad Titan named Thanos. He got these things called Infinity Stones and wiped out half the universe. Some of my family members turned to dust. I'm gonna go and see who survived and who didn't.

Thanos? He did this?

Yeah. Who's still alive from the team?

Um Rossi, Spence, JJ, and I.

Hotch my remaining family is trying to come up with a plan to defeat Thanos. You want in or no?

I'm gonna say no. I have a son and I need to care for him.

That brings me to my next announcement. I'm pregnant and my soulmate is the father.

Hazel that's great. You'll make a great mother and your soulmate will make a great father.

All right. Hotch I'm gonna hung up so I can start to look for these other superheroes. Bye Hotch.

Hazel ended the call and looked around for Wong. The moment she looked behind her Wong came through a portal with two sandwiches and three cups of soda.

"You are a life saver," Hazel smiled.

"Eat up. You're gonna need it," Wong said.

Hazel grabbed one of the sandwiches that Wong bought and took a bite of it. Wong handed her the two drinks and took a bite of his sandwich. When they finished eating Hazel opened a portal and they stepped through it. They walked up to the door and Hazel knocked on it. It opened a few minutes later and they saw a guy who had medal knives coming out of his knuckles.

"It's OK. We're not villains. My names Hazel. This is my friend Wong. Dust. You had friends turn to dust didn't you," Hazel asked.

"What's it to ya," the man asked.

"We know who did it. We're going around to see which superheroes survived and which didn't. For those that survived we are asking if you would like to join the fight against the man who caused this," Wong said.

"You better come in."

The man opened the door and Hazel and Wong walked inside.

"Names Logan. I was the only one who didn't turn to dust. Who was the man who did it," Logan asked.

"He is a mad Titan. His name is Thanos. A month ago Thanos got all Infinity Stones and wiped out half the universe in a snap. Those to go were the new Avengers and others. I was not one of the ones to go. My family does not know why I didn't turn to dust but we're not gonna question it. Now we want to know. Would you like to join us in the fight against Thanos," Hazel asked.

"I will join in the fight against Thanos," Logan said.

"OK. You can stay here and when the time comes we'll tell you the plan as we head to where the fight is or you can come to stay at my uncle's tower and help us come up with a plan. Which one?"

"Latter."

"OK. Pack a bag of clothes. If you need more we can get you more."

Logan walked away for a few minutes then came back with a bag. Hazel opened a portal and led them into the tower. She showed him a spare room he could use then introduced him to everyone else.

"One down a lot more to go," Wong said.

Hazel and Wong left again to go find other. Most of the people said no but they found Deadpool who said he would live at the tower and join the fight, Scott Lang who also agreed to join the fight, and Phil Coulson who said the same as Deadpool and Scott. Everyone was back in the tower when Tony spoke up.

"Hazel when exactly did the fight take place," Tony asked.

"Month estimate," Hazel asked.

"Yeah. How many months till we fight Thanos?"

"About four months till the fight. Wait. Yeah, four months."

"You'll be 20 weeks because you're a month now," Steve whispered then said in a loud voice so everyone could hear, "You aren't allowed to fight. We can't risk it."

"What," Everyone yelled.

At once, everyone started yelling that Hazel should be able to fight but Bruce, Nat, Steve, Tony, and Wong. Eventually, Steve had enough of the yelling 'cause he raised his voice at everyone besides the ones who knew.

"SHUT UP RIGHT NOW OR I SWEAR TO FUCKING GOD I WILL THROW MY SHIELD AT ALL OF YOU! AND I FUCKING MEAN IT," Steve yelled.

"I got it from here Uncle Steve. The reason I will not be joining the fight is that I am pregnant. I am about a month long and in four months I'll be five months. Everyone next to me, besides Wong, made a promise to my dads that my baby and I would be safe. Tony made a promise to record every first moment of my pregnancy he would record. That's why they don't want me to fight. Because by the time the battle comes I'll be showing," Hazel said.

"This is off topic. Hazel have you been able to talk to Stephen," Bruce asked.

"Yeah, yesterday when we came back. I fell asleep on the jet. Dad, Pops, and Stephen were in this bright blue room. We were talking when I told Stephen that this had happened before. Thanos had a twin brother and they killed him," Hazel said trailing off.

"Hazel what is it," Steve asked.

"That's it. I know how to stop Thanos."
