"The world is a prison for a believer, and paradise for a disbeliever". - Prophet Muhammad.
...

Safiyah scoffed like a crazy person, she was sitting very close to me on a couch. "You should have sought for my advice before attempting to waste such huge amount of money on someone that doesn't even care about you". She said, feeling sorry for me.

"Huge amount of money? On someone that doesn't care about me?" I puzzled, staring at her. She had never talked to me that way. Was she really okey? I didn't think so. "Stop acting strange, Safiyah. It's just a N55,000 suit, And by the way Abdullah still cares about me, If he doesn't he'd have divorced me since".

"I pray he does..." She muttered as she stood up. "Anyways, what can I get you?". She asked.

"Just a glass of water is okey". I swiped through my phone, I had to check some messages on WhatsApp.

"Alright then". She turned, walking straight to the kitchen.

I glanced at her, was she really okey? She was acting weirdly, so I was totally confused. She_ talking about wasting my money by buying my husband a suit really hurts me but, I just swallowed it. The day I bought Abdullah the suit, he didn't appreciate it at all though. In_fact, he threw it away on the couch and left to his room. It hurts me direly but I just smiled and left the suit there too. When I came back later, it wasn't there... And the following day I saw him wore it to work. (Smiles), wasn't that amazing? I'd continue with the good thing, maybe that might change him real soon. I hope so...

"Here, have it". Safiyah extended the glass of water to me immediately she came back from the kitchen.

"Thank you". I gulped half and kept the remaining one on the table in_front of me. "This feels great, So how is your husband?". I was curious, he had been in Abuja for long.

"Faisal? He's busy with his work. I heard he got promoted to senior director over there". She absent-mindedly uttered, switching through the dstv channels.

I was baffled when she said that. As_in, I never expected such a response from her. She even had to ask 'Faisal?', before proceeding to reply my question. She had never done that! Someone that loved her husband tremendously... Could it mean that something went wrong? Could it mean that her husband was turning into my Abdullah too?

"Wow, nice to hear about the promotion. I'm happy for you guys". I tried to pretend like I didn't sensed anything fishy. "So when is he coming back home?".

She hissed. "I don't really know why this stupid decoder is no longer viewing Zee World these days, what's wrong with it?!" She pretended as if she didn't heard what I said, and began yelling and insulting the decoder as if it was a living thing. "No wonder Halimah asked me to just change to Startimes, I should've listened to her" She offed the decoder and TV in anger.

I only waited for her to finish her madness before recapitulating my question. "When is Abu Aysha wa Jibril coming back?". I asked her immediately she was composed. I was really curious!

"Balqis can't you see how angry I am with this decoder? I really need to replace it with Startimes real soon. I don't like disappointment at all!" She began swiping through her phone. "Lemme even enquire more about Startimes from Halimah".

I watched in puzzlement as she dialed her friend's number and began talking non_stop with her,

"...I'm really not happy with this decoder wollah, I should've listen to you jare... Yes, that's what I'm talking about... Okey, please do send me more details... Haba besty, who doesn't want better thing... Okey, the HD Startimes is both terrestrial and...? Okey I will send you the money later to buy for me... Thank you". She ended the call with a sigh.

I gulped. "So when is he really coming back?". I asked her again, I really wanted to know what was going on between the two couples.

"I don't know abeg, ahh!". She stood and left the parlor to her room.

God, something must be wrong and, I must find out! I thought.

I stood to my feet and followed her. Immediately she landed on her bed I appeared. "So you left me in the parlor abi?". I smiled at her, sitting very close to her on the bed.

"If you haven't been persistent I'd have stayed. You left me with no any other choice but to leave". She was already angry, her voice said it all. "You really don't know how much I hate to hear about Faisal. Just don't talk about him again with me!".

Oh God, what's wrong with this woman? I eyed her.

"What happened? Can you tell me? You know I don't hide my family matters from you, so don't hide yours from me please. Maybe we can sort things out together, please tell me..."

"Sort things what? Did I told you I want things to be sort out between me and him? I'm fine, look at me!". She yelled at me.

"You're not fine, just tell me or wait here until it eats you up. Remember when I told you everything about my matrimonial life, I didn't omit a single word!". I was really not happy with her. I really regretted opening up to some people, they didn't deserve to know me like that.

She shook her head. She was already breathing hard, and her mouth trembling like she was going to break down into tears any time soon. "Balqis, I've never told anyone about this, not even my parents, so how do you expect me to tell you, and why?".

"Because I'm your friend". I took her hand in a clasp. "So tell me please".

She heaved a sigh with a nod, "Okey_ Okey. The thing is, Faisal is..." She was saying halfway when her door gently opened. And behold it was her husband, Faisal, with his suitcase!
