Nothing much came out of my encounter for quite sometime. I was almost disappointed that I could't learn from others of my kind. I even tried some nights to go back to the spot in the park and try to signal whoever he was trying to signal but nothing came of it when I tried...

Despite my encounter life returned to normal. The months passed and soon it was Amy's 18th birthday on March 29th. I didn't really have any money but I learned how to carve little trinkets from her father. It did help having really strong, sharp, nails. I'm glad I knew how to use them. I made her a tiny wooden heart with our initials. Blah it's so incredibly childish to think of now but I was of course in love with this beautiful mortal... Agh I get to into retelling my story to you people. Anyway her party soon came and I suppose she was considerate of me because her party was small and inside.

"Bryan! I need you to come in here." Amy called from the kitchen. Hmm... I don't remember her ever cooking... I got up and headed to the kitchen when I suddenly noticed my reflection in the mirror.

I looked at myself and I was becoming so very pale but that's not all. My hair was a shiny black and now reached over my shoulders. My toned frame had became incredibly strong and I must have grown another inch and my eyes had grown so dark of a red... I suppose I haven't saw my reflection in a while.

I spent a moment staring at myself when Amy called for me again. "Bryan come on!" I rushed to the kitchen to make up for staring at myself.

"Sorry Amy." I looked at her sitting on the table.

She got down and wrapped her arms around my neck. "It's ok." She kissed me. "Love you."

I looked in her eyes and told her Ioved her too before we separated from each other. "What's up?

"Nothing... It's my birthday." She smiled at me.

"Happy birthday." I replied and she smiled and hugged me. "So your party is today."

She sat back down. "It's alright Bryan it's going to be at night."

I knew she did that to me. "Nice... It should be more fun then anyways." I smiled at her and leaned up against the counter.

She suddenly shot up. "Oh guess what?" She stood in front of me and held my hands.

"What?"

"Well... I'm getting a hotel room for later tonight and I thought it would be nice if you could come with me..." she looked up into my eyes.

"I would love to." I kissed her and we turned around so I could hold her. "Love you." I whispered in her ear.

"I love you too." She whispered very lightly.

We stood in the kitchen for a moment until she suddenly shivered. "Ahh! You're so cold..." She said as she turned to face me.

"Oh! Sorry babe... My skin stays cold for a long time..." I know, such a terrible lie. I looked down at my feet.

She looked down and lightly sighed. "Yeah... I've got to get dressed for the party hun. I'll be down in a little." She headed up to her room, leaving me in the kitchen.
