Amy had to stay in the hospital for almost a month. I felt terrible that she went through so much. I even did her homework when she was in the hospital. It was the week of Christmas when she finally let out. She now had to go to counseling after school when Christmas break was done. But for now at least she was alright.

Her parents were upstairs sleeping while I was sitting on the couch, watching TV. Amy sat next to me.

"Hey Bryan." She looked at me and smiled.

I smiled back. "Hey Amy." She moved close to me.

"Bryan?" she asked.

"Yeah?" I looked at her.

"Where did you go after you found me?" she looked into my eyes.

"I was... Trying to find a phone." I didn't know what to say.

"No you weren't. A nurse told me when you came into the Hospital to see me you were covered in blood... Kinda like when I found you." She was getting close to putting everything together when I interrupted her thoughts.

"So looking forward to school?" Ok I was newly immortal I was still pretty terrible at distracting.

"Not really. I can only imagine the rumors. You're lucky you don't go to school." she cuddled up to me.

I was kind of shocked by this. "Uhh Amy? What are you doing?"

She looked up at me. "Hold me Bryan..." She took my arms around her.

"Alright..." I held her and she smiled.

"Thank you. I love you." She looked at me again.

I was silent a moment. "I love you too Amy." I held her tight. She fell asleep in my arms and I watched her. I could hear her breath and then I heard Mark coming down stairs. I was about to let her go and wake her up when he stopped halfway down. I sensed he was watching us.

"Get down here love." I heard him whisper and she came down. I heard a very in sync "Aww." Among the two before they went back upstairs.
