Robin.
"So, what kind of ring did you get this time, Rob?" Rose asked.
My entire family called me Rob as a nickname. I knew it was a male name, but it really didn't bother me. I liked how it sounded, so I let them call me it.
I smiled, pulling the golden ring with the big jewel off my finger, showing it to my sister.
"A mood ring? Isn't that a big childish?" She asked, and my mind was automatically filled with the thought of Ashton.
He had asked those same words, his voice being a lot more enjoyable than Rose's. I honestly didn't know the kid, but I will admit, he was extremely good looking.
"I don't have a mood ring, so I bought it. Speaking of which, did you know that Luke left to visit his family in Australia for two months?" I asked as Rose turned a key in the ignition of her car.
She shook her head, "No, I didn't know that. Who's running his stand?"
"One of his friends, his name is Ashton."
"Is he cuter than Luke?" Rose asked, glancing at me with a large smirk on her face.
Everyone in my family also knew that I found the owner of the ring stand very handsome, and teased me about it quite often. I don't understand why teasing someone for having a certain liking for a person was a common thing in the world. I mean, so what, you find someone attractive, why do people need to tease you about it? Last time I checked, everyone has had a crush once in their lives, and it's not a bad thing at all.
I blushed, "I guess."
"What does he look like?" Rose continued to prod at me.
"I dunno, somewhat tall, curly hair, glasses, a-"
"Glasses? Does he have the nerd aesthetic?"
"Shut up! Nerds are cute half the time!" I scolded, then continued describing the boy from the stand, "He also looked pretty un-buff."
Rose stuck her tongue out, "Sounds like he's just down your ally!"
I rolled my eyes in a friendly manner, sighing, "Sounds like he's just down yours, too."
"I know. I think next time we come here, I'm gonna tag along. I wanna see this cutie."
When Rose said that, I felt a slight pang of anger. I didn't want her to come and sweep the boy away from me. I mean, I would probably never date him, but my chances of ever having him even look in my direction would be tiny with Rose around.
The thing about me and my sister was that although she was a couple years older than me, we both looked about the same age, and she was definitely the more attractive out of the two of us.
She had long, wavy, light brown hair, and long legs. Meanwhile, my curly brown hair was knotted more than half of the time, and my body wasn't exactly anything model-like.
"Yeah, I'll be sure to introduce you to him," I mumbled, laying my head against the window of the car.
