You knew you messed up this time, everything you did leading to this moment, you knew what you doing. The comm in your ear buzzed lightly, the blood trickled down your head. Dust settling on the floor from the fire but it wasn't over yet, it was far from over.

"Is everyone okay?"

Everyone responded but you, you were busy limping towards the back of the building.

"(Y/N)?! Has anyone seen (Y/N)?!" Rossi called.

People started shouting your name. You made it outside and started running ignoring the pain that shot up your leg. You knew no one was safe if you were there. You messed up, you should have just stayed away. Panting, you stopped when the building was barely in view.

"I'm sorry, this is my fault and I need to make it right."

"What do you mean?" Rossi pressed.

"I'm sorry..." Was all you said.

Ripping the comm from your ear you ran again, getting lost in all the traffic, dropping your FBI vest, that's the last place you were ever seen. You watched the news and you were presumed to be dead. This gave you the chance to do that you had to finish what you'd started years ago.

Months slipped by, you had a scar going across your head and down from your thigh to your knee. You still had a limp and you'd grown to accept that. You never forgot about them, you kept tabs on the team. They were a mess, Hotch looked worse then them all. You often left small things to cheer them up.

That's what you remembered as you stood over the dead body of the man who'd be making your life a living hell for ages.

"Time to head home..."

Striking a match, you lit a flame and set the whole place on fire. Hopping into your car you drove back to Quantico. You went to your apartment, unlocking the door. It was still the same, smiling softly you closed the door and turned around only to be met with a gun pointed at you.

"(Y/N)?"

"Heya JJ..."

Instantly the gun was away and you were brought into a warm embrace and her gears soaked your shoulder.

"We knee you weren't dead, where have you been?"

"I had to finish something, it's done, it's over."

She pulled away, her finger running along the scar on your head. Eyes soft but happy. You were beyond relieved to see her.

"Why are you here JJ?"

"I've been cleaning this place once a week in case you ever came back."

"Thank you..."

"You need to come to the office!" She beamed.

"Let's go then."

She shoved you into her car, speeding down the streets. JJ has phoned telling them all to meet her in the conference room. Pulling you through the building, telling reception not to say anything. You held her hand tightly as she led you through, no one had seen you two yet. JJ walked in as you waited around the corner.

"Why are we here?" Reid asked.

"I've got someone for you guys to see. You can come in now!"

Slowly, you came around the corner as everyone's eyes fell on you. Garcia was the first to tackle you into a hug. You held her tightly. Next was Derek, then Reid who held you as tightly as he could. Emily have you a quick hug, letting Rossi walk over. He examined your face before hugging you, placing a kiss to your head. The only person yet to see you was Hotch and he wasn't there.

"Where is he?"

"In his office." Rossi nodded.

You walked away, knocking on his door before slowly opening it. He didn't look up. Slipping in you closed the door.

"You look like a mess."

His head shot up, there were bags under his eyes and he looked more dishevelled then usual. He immediately stood up and walked over. Brushing hair from your face and ran his thumb along the scarred skin.

"It's been a while huh?" You smiled nervously.

He took a step back and shook his head in disbelief. His face hardened into a scowl.

"We thought you were dead..."

"Aaron L-" "for MONTHS we thought you had DIED you didn't think to call us? To call me? Let me know you were okay? You didn't think about how this affect me?-" "I did this for you Aaron!"

You watched as his face softened. You shook your head, eyes fully of sadness and regret.

"Don't hate me for this. You would've done the same Aaron."

"I know. Just... please don't leave again." He begged.

"I won't, I'm here to stay."

Your arms wrapped around his torso as your head rested on his chest. His arms found themselves wrapped around you as the pair of you stood there in each other's embrace. Tears slowly fell from your eyes.

"I'm sorry Aaron... I'm so sorry..."

"It's okay, your hear now, it's okay sweetheart."

His chin rested on you head as you both held each other. It had been a long few months and you had a lot to catch up on and make up for as well as a lot of explaining to do
