My Sexy Bodyguard

Chapter 6

In the morning, I was in the kitchen sitting on the counter waiting for Dante. He's late, why is he late? It's unusual. All of a sudden, my front door opened, I got off the counter and walked up to the door to see Liam. "Dante is taking the day off, come on" Liam said, Liam and I walked out of the apartment building, to his vehicle and he drove off to the abandoned building. We walk in and there is no sign of Dante, John was there but Dante wasn't.

"Dante will be away for a few days so until he comes back Liam is your bodyguard, Paige" John says in a calm voice before modding then walking away. Liam and I talked with the team for awhile before leaving to go to his place. Is he gone cause of me? Did I do something? Was it the kiss that made him leave? I'm confused and heartbroken. Liam made me stay with him until Dante gets back from wherever he went to.

They said it was only for a few days but it's almost been 2 months since I last heard from Dante. The days drag by so slow, I don't know if the team stays in contact with him but I sure don't. Liam has left me alone at his place for the day, I grabbed my phone and messaged Dante.

Paige: what happened to you?

I sighed as I laid on the couch in the living room, I was covered up with alot of blankets and I was only in my underwear underneath. I heard a ding and quickly grabbed my phone to check who it was from, I smiled when I seen his name pop up on my phone. It's been so long since I've heard from him I never thought I would even get a response.

Dante: "I'm outside Liam's apartment"

As soon as I read it, there was a knock on his door. I quickly got up, grabbing my shirt off the ground  and running towards the door, I opened it to see Dante. "Still distracting" Dante whispered, I'm a little annoyed at the fact that he was gone for almost 2 months and everyone was saying he would only be gone for a few days.

"Where were you?" I said while looking into his eyes, he looked down at the ground then back up into my eyes, he shook his head. I slowly nodded while biting my bottom lip, I was about to close the door until Liam shows up right behind Dante. "Welcome back, brother and sorry you have to see Paige half naked" Liam said while walking past Dante and into his apartment.

Dante followed Liam into his apartment, I shut the door behind him. "Alot has changed since you been gone, I am now in a relationship with the beautiful Paige" Liam says while grabbing my waist and pulling me closer to him, I slightly smiled and looked down at the ground. "Congrats man. I actually have to go visit my dad. Bye" Dante said before walking out of Liam's apartment.

What's his issue? Just show up and vanish again? Whatever he isn't my problem, I like Liam. Liam lets go of me, he walks to the kitchen and I follow directly behind him. I hopped onto the kitchen counter as Liam prepares to make food for us.

After awhile we ate and went to the bedroom to go to sleep, we managed to sleep until the next morning. He woke me up, he climbed on top of me and started kissing my neck. I heard the door open. "Sorry guys but we need to get going...now. Get dressed" Ryan said in a stern voice. Liam quickly got up and got dressed so did I.

We walked out Liam's apartment to Ryan's SUV, we got in and Ryan started the vehicle, he started to speed. What happened? Is something wrong? We pulled up to the abandoned warehouse, got out and walked into it to see Dante laying on the floor, John sitting next to him. Caleb and Michael rush up to us. "What is she doing here? She shouldn't see this" Caleb yells looking at Ryan.

I looked over at Ryan and he's staring at me, I shook my head, I turned my head back to Dante. I tried to walk up to him to get a better look at him. Caleb grabs me by the waist, I sighed and looked down. "Let....her....go.." I heard Dante say, he sounds like he's out of breath and in so much pain. My heart usually skips a beat when I hear him speak but now my heart is shattered.

I felt Caleb's arms release from my waist and I rushed to Dante side, John's hands are pressed down on his side. "Take him to the damn hospital" I yelled, looking up at John. He quickly shakes his head. I sighed, I rip off part of my shirt. "Move your hands" I quietly said. He shook his head again. This family is stubborn.

"I'll press down part of this shirt I ripped off on his wound while you find alcohol, needle, thread, and bandages."  I said and John moves his hands, I quickly press the piece of fabric down on his wound. John and the men leave the building. A tear rolls down my cheek. "Don't..." Dante whispers.  It hurts my heart to see him like this.

"Keep looking at me, okay? Don't take your eyes off me" I said looking into Dante eyes while nodding. I slightly smiled as I pressed down more on his side. "Who....could...ever...take....their...eyes...off...of...y-you.." Dante whispered, forcing the words to come out of his mouth.

"Shh, don't talk okay" I whisper while looking down into his eyes. The men quickly come back with the supplies, I was grateful but also heartbroken that I will have to do this to him but it's to save his life. John sat down the supplies next to me. "I hope you know what you are doing"  John says before looking down at me.

"Me too" I whispered before grabbing the bottle of alcohol, I opened it and removed my hands, I pour the alcohol on his wound. I grab the needle and thread, I started to suture his wound. He keeps wincing in pain and everytime he does, it breaks my heart. I wish this never happened to him.

"Im so sorry, Dante" I said while finishing up the suture. I grabbed the bandage and I put it on his stitches to keep it clean. "You saved his life" John says while smiling I picked up all the supplies, I slowly stood up and gave the supplies back to John. He walks off into another room with the supplies in hand. Liam walks up to slowly and nods. "Good job, Paige" He whispered before following his father.

Me, Micheal, Caleb, Ryan talked for awhile before John and Liam walks back in. "We have decided that Paige and Dante is staying here together overnight considering Paige saved his life and Dante is her bodyguard. Go home everyone else, relax for the rest of the day. You've earned it" John says before Michael, Ryan, Caleb, and Liam walk off.

"Have a good day and night" John says before walking out the building. My back is facing Dante when I hear him quietly say "thank.. you" he doesn't have to thank me. I thank him for even trusting me to close his wound up. I hope he didn't get hurt cause of me, that will destroy me so bad knowing this happened cause of me.
