Beaumont High a.k.a hell
'So you must be Camila Halsell, how nice of you to join us.' The teacher says laughing at his own joke, looking at his name tag I can see his name is Mr. Chapman. Grunting at his comment I start making my way to the empty seat at the back of the classroom.
'Woah Woah Woah, not so fast. All new students have to introduce themselves.' The teacher says stopping me in my tracks. I roll my eyes and trudge to the front of the classroom, receiving more attention than I was usually used to getting.
'Hey, I'm Camila Rose Halsell, Mila for short. I lived in France till I was 5 and then Los Angeles up until a couple months ago.' I mumble out before basically sprinting to the back of the classroom.
The teacher starts talking about some administration junk that I don't bother listening to.
'So you think you could teach me how to French kiss?' The boy sitting next to me asks I hadn't noticed him up until now. From closer inspection he was kinda cute, his black hair flopped onto his forehead, a few strands getting into his black eyes. He had broad swimmer shoulders and was undoubtedly very tall. I give him a flat look before turning away but I could feel the weight of his eyes staring, I glance at him and snapped,
'Jeez just take a picture, it'll last longer.'
'Classic, portrait or landscape?' he says right back. Before I can reply the bell rings signaling my next class. 'See you around Camila.'
Finally happy to have some peace to and quiet to myself I start gathering my belongings.
'Hey Mila, I'm Delilah.' Aaaaaand peace and quiet over. I plaster on my best fake smile and greet the girl in front of me.
'So I see you've met Noah Lang?' She asks, for a minute I'm confused then I remember the boy who was seated next to me before.
'Yeah I guess so, he is very ummmm forward?' I didn't know how to say anything about him without offending Delilah who seemed to know him pretty well. She laughs at my comment,
'Forward is an understatement. Word of advice: don't get attached he doesn't stick around for too long.'
'Noted, I don't plan to stick around either.' Her comment made me think that maybe there was something between her and Noah in the past, I didn't pry.
'What do you mean?' She asks her face scrunching up. 'Do you hate it here already?'
'What? No no don't worry about it, I mean school isn't my favorite place on the planet but then again whose is?'
'I could think of a few people.' She says linking her arm with mine and practically dragging me through the crowded hallway'
