Xan's pov:

I struggled to sit up, grunting in pain as my wounds throbbed.

I heard Isaiah stirring not that far away and I whimpered, giving up and curling into myself as I trembled with the effort.

Isaiah groaned and sat up, rubbing his face as his gaze found my Body. "Love-" he exclaimed and hurried over to me, running his hands gently down my back. "Are you okay?"

I grunted "D-Do I Look Okay?" And he flinched, making me feel guilty. "S-Sorry..I'm just in pain.." I mumbled.

He nodded slightly and started checking my wounds, being as gentle as possible.

I felt myself relaxing, slowly sinking into a light doze. I was exhausted.

Isaiah's POV:

I frowned as I felt Xan relax, watching his eyes flutter close as he dozed off. He needed the rest..

I continued to look at his wounds, making sure they weren't too bad, but a few looked a little deep and I bit my lip.

We had no supplies, no food, no water and Xan was bleeding pretty badly. I need to find something, and fast.

I looked around and spotted a base, it looked like an army base and I quickly stood, gently picking up Xan.

He grunted and remained asleep. I slowly made my way towards the base, calling out warily "Hello?"

A young male looked at me and tightened his hold on the rifle he had.

"What are you doing here?" He ordered.

I flinched slightly "M-My friend is hurt..P-Please- can you help?"

He hesitated before nodding.

"My name is Peter, Welcome to the Grey Army."
