May's pov
I frowned at his expression and looked away. "I was just wanting you to know..." I mumbled.
"Don't get any ideas though. I still don't trust you." I turned to walk away.
"W-Wait!" He cried and grabbed my arm, making me stiffen, trying to tug my arm out of his grip.
Isaiah's Pov:
My grip tightened around her arm as she tried to pull away. "W-What? B-but-" I whimpered.
She grunted softly and sighed. "You can go try to talk to him, but I've already made up my mind..."
I quietly nodded and turned to walk into Xan's room before she could say anything else.
I saw Xan look up and relax. "Hey..." he said softly.
I softened and smiled weakly. "Hi...how're feeling?" I asked softly as I sat on the edge of the bed.
He gently shifted and grunted. "Eh.." he mumbled and I nodded. "I understand.." he nodded softly
I sighed. "So, May, or whoever her name is- she's planning to ask if you want to stay here and become a medic...." I whispered
Xan brightened. "She is?" He asked quickly, trying to hide his excitement.
I frowned deeply and nodded. "Do you?" I asked quietly.
He hesitated softly.
"Well..."
