the awkward dinner daeun expected didn't happen. by the end of dinner, she concluded that youngjae was just shy, cautious, and a tad bit of something- like confusion, but she wasn't sure of it- not a cold hearted person with a mean face on every time their eyes met.

daehyun was the one doing the dishes. and while he did so, youngjae quickly cleaned the table then walked off to what she assumed was his room.

she helped his cousin by wiping the wet dishes dry, occasionally having small talks here and there; mostly about youngjae.

"he's not as bad as i thought," she commented.

daehyun's lips tugged upwards. "i know, eun."

on the other hand, youngjae was taken aback as he stepped into the studio.

daehyun had cleaned the whole room and placed a bed, far enough from his painting area. youngjae smiled at his best friend's thoughtfulness.

he walked over to the empty canvas that was resting on the easel. he hadn't got an idea of what to draw, so he just sat in front of the easel, staring into nothingness.

until a series of knocks was heard.

"come in," he said. the door slowly creaked open, revealing daeun; her long hair tied up to a loose bun, fashionable clothes changed into plain t-shirt and shorts.

"excuse me," she said softly, timidly stepping inside. she looked around the studio with her mouth slightly agape, and youngjae chuckled at the sight, making the woman avert her gaze to him.

"what are you going to draw?" daeun asked curiously, making her way to hin.

youngjae shrugged. "i don't know."

"can i suggest something?" youngjae nodded in response, and daeun smiled.

"how about the picture i took of you earlier?"
