daeun didn't know what to do. she had approximately four days before daehyun's departure, but the latter himself wasn't helpful either.

the woman was brought back to reality as she heard beepings coming from the oven. carefully, she turned it off and took out the apple pie she had made. after waiting for it to cool down, she sliced it into six pieces and transferred them into three plates.

carrying a plate in each hand, she proceeded to visit her cousin's room.

"daehyun?" not long after, the door clicked open and said person's head popped out.

"i made apple pie," daeun said, extending her right hand.

"woah," daehyun exclaimed, his smile blooming, then he opened the gap of the door larger for his body to slip out. taking the plate from daeun, he then eyed the other plate. "is that for youngjae?"

seeing daeun nod made his smile bloom even more.

"okay then, by the way, if he doesn't answer, then just put it on the floor beside his door. he might be sleeping."

"at four in the evening?"

"you never know."

daeun nodded, though still in doubt.

"alright then."

"thanks eun, for the cake."

"of course. hope you like it." throwing a smile to each other, daehyun then went inside and closed the door.

daeun had been standing in front of youngjae's studio room, hesitant to knock on it.

come on, eun, what are you afraid of? her mind exclaimed.

she then inhaled and raised her right hand. just as she was about to knock, the door slammed open, revealing a messy looking youngjae; scaring the poor woman, and then his own self.
