Is it possible for a flower
To be separated from its roots?
To be taken away from the soil
It has grown in?But when that flower is gone
Do the roots cry?
Do they shrivel up and die
Because their flower is gone?Did the flower leave by itself
Or was it unwillingly taken away?
Maybe a storm swirled around
And stole it from its birthplaceBut is the flower alright?
Did anyone ask?
Maybe she's hurt
And was painfully slashedTo the world she's an ordinary flower
To the roots she's still not gone
But to herself she's a survivor
Using both brain and brawn
