The Last Royal Hybrid

Chapter 4

"Fine, what will happen when I enter my mind?" I asked because I'm a little curious about what else I would have to do.

"Once you enter your mind you will have to adventure throughout your mind." Crystal said.

"Anything else?" I asked because what she said was pretty simple for me.

"Yes there is, you have to find an object that's important to you." Crystal said as she gave me another book to study so I know what to avoid when I'm in my mind.

"Do I have to study all of these books?" I asked because it seemed like a lot of information that my brain can't remember.

"No you just need to read a couple of pages that are important from each book." Crystal said

"Is that all or is there more?" I asked because I hope there aren't anymore things I need to do.

"Not right now, but for you to peacefully meditate you should go somewhere that will calm you and not have any distractions." Crystal said as she was standing up to leave.

"Should I find you once I'm done with finding my power source?" I asked because I wasn't sure what to do after.

"Yes I will most likely be in the castle, and if I'm not there just ask Luna where I'm at." Crystal said as she was leaving me sitting in the middle of the forest.

Once I couldn't see her anymore I got up and started walking more deeper into the forest, because Crystal did say that I need a peaceful place I need to meditate. So why not go adventuring to find that place. It was almost night when I arrived at this peaceful and beautiful place. It was an overview of the whole city. The lights were so pretty there were so many colors of lights. Anybody could get lost looking at this view. I think I found the spot where I'm going to meditate.

I sit down on the ground and tune out everything around me. It took me awhile to enter my mind.There was so much in my mind but it seemed like there was a lot of trauma. I guess some things in my life have caused me to be depressed and anxious. Forgetting about the trauma I keep going deeper into my mind.

It was so strange, because there were so many doors. I opened one and it showed me a memory that I repressed. It was about how my sister was trying to hurt me. It was during the night and I was still a toddler. She was holding a butcher knife. Our parents heard me crying and when they entered my nursery they saw Pearl holding a knife. When Pearl saw our parents she got scared and dropped the knife on me. The knife somehow ended up puncturing my stomach. I started screaming and crying. My parents didn't want to remove the knife since it could leave me bleeding out to death. So what my parents ended up doing was calling 911. About 10 minutes later the ambulance came and took me to the hospital. When I arrived at the hospital no doctors or nurses would let my parents or even Pearl see me. The doctors said to my parents that I lost too much blood, but I was somehow still alive which was a miracle for the doctor who had to do surgery on me. 

Those doctors did find something strange in my blood. They found strange DNA that none of my parents have. They didn't even know how or why my blood could do that. The doctors wanted to see if they could do some tests on me, and my parents didn't want that to happen. Then the memory ends there. I just kept moving on, because I needed to find that object that Crystal talked about. Since I have no clue when my own mind will turn against me. I kept passing through different parts of my mind. It was strange seeing my mind and how everything I've been through has affected my brain.

When I got to the part of my emotions. It felt like I shouldn't be there. That's when I knew that my mind will be turning against me if I continue to move forward. I decided to ignore that warning because I needed to find that object and nothing will stop me. So I started walking deeper into my mind. Until I noticed that this necklace and crown were out of place. I decided to go and grab those two items, because they could be those objects that I'm looking for. When I walked over to those items they started glowing for some weird reason. So when I touched the crown and necklace. I was brought back to reality. I noticed that it was almost daytime.

I hurried up so I could go to the castle and show Crystal what I found in my mind. So I started running like my life was in danger. When I reached the castle it seemed different, but I couldn't point out what changed. I entered the castle and it was all dark and gloomy. I quietly walked around the castle, because it seemed abandoned for some reason. When I was walking around I saw blood on the ground and walls. I started panicking, because I didn't know whose blood it was. I started walking towards the path of blood. I was curious so I had to investigate what happened here.

The trail of blood led to the throne room and what I saw next will forever haunt me. I saw dead bodies from people who live in the city and people who work in the castle. I heard footsteps coming towards the throne room so I decided to turn myself invisible. Once I was invisible I had to stay quiet so the person wouldn't hear me. When the person came into the throne room I was shocked. It was Pearl! I remembered that I banished her from this realm.
