The Last Royal Hybrid

Chapter 6

"It actually does, but the power source is in the basement." Katarina said circling where the source is.

"Great how are we going to get past the security guards?" I asked because I've seen those security guards and they're scary.

"Usually they don't go down the stairwells, but we would need to hurry since they're going to notice that you're out of your cell." Katarina said rolling up the blueprints, and checking if it's clear to leave the room.

Once it was clear to leave. Katarina motioned for me to follow her. We had to run for a long time to get to the stairwell. Then we had to run down those steps until we got to the basement. We stood in front of the entrance to the basement. All of a sudden I got this bad feeling, but I brushed it off since we were on a mission to help all these people. There were two tunnels which weren't on the blueprints for some reason. So we had to split up. Katarina took the left tunnel while I took the right tunnel. There were cobwebs everywhere in the tunnel. I wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. It had a spooky vibe to it that I didn't like. I started hearing footsteps behind me so I started running again until I reached a dead end.

There had to be something that could help me in this tunnel. So I started looking around until this small metal rusted box that was attached to the wall and there was a lever that I could pull to turn off the power. Once I pulled the lever I could hear all the things that were electronic turned off. The footsteps finally caught up with me. It was Katarina who was following me. The tunnel that she took could've ended and the power source wasn't there. We started running again since the power would turn back on in 10 minutes. We were running to see if all the cells were unlocked. Some people's cells were unlocked but they were too decomposed to even talk or walk. People who weren't decomposing are able to talk and kind of walk. Me and Katarina got around 50 people out of that place that were able to talk and kind of walk. I felt bad for leaving those other people behind. But at least we rescued some of them.

Katarina wanted me to put up a force field around the building so no one else could get out or in. I'm just paranoid that people who started this mission of kidnapping these supernatural creatures still have that same power to do it again. Nowhere is safe for anyone here. Once we got everyone safely to their apartments or houses. Me, Crystal, and Katarina went back to the castle just to relax for once. So we decided to go to the kitchen to get something to eat, and to also talk about what just happened.

It was around 3am so we just decided to have cereal. It got all silent we all had our cereal.

"Are we just going to ignore the fact that almost all creatures in this realm could've died!" I yelled, because I was confused and frustrated.

"We can't do anything about it since we don't know who was behind that plan." Crystal said, finishing her cereal.

"But we have to do something!" I yelled because at this point I started getting more angry.

"Khloe calm down we will catch the person behind this, but it's late we're all tired and you have training in the morning." Katarina said reassuring me that everything will be ok.

"Fine, but can training start around 10 or 11am?' I asked, because I won't wake up early for useless training.

"No, because you need to start practicing right away." Katarina said before walking out of the kitchen leaving me all by myself.

When everyone left me. I started looking through the castle, because I never really explored this place. There was so many staircases that were leading down and up. I never knew that there was a basement or whatever these stairs lead. I went down the staircase that seemed like it was leading to a basement. When I descended the staircase the atmosphere all of a sudden became cold and for some reason I could hear the wind blowing.

It became so cold that I had to turn around and get a silk cloak or just a winter jacket. I couldn't find any winter jackets so I had to find a silk cloak. When I did find a silk cloak the cloak was purple but it appears to be black, and it had a hood on it. It must've been worn by a queen or princess that went to a ritual for witches.

When I put the purple silk cloak on. I headed back to the staircase. When I got to the part that was getting cold. For some reason I could hear whispers. I wanted to listen but I didn't know where the voices were coming from. but I still went down those stairs, because I just wanted to explore. When I got closer to the last step. I noticed that there were so many doors leading into different rooms. Some doors seemed brand new, but the rest of the wooden doors seemed to have claw marks on them. I wonder what happened or what caused these claw marks?

I just continued walking down random hallways. I kept hearing footsteps behind me so I tried to lose whoever was behind me. Until I hit a dead end in this labyrinth that's beneath the castle.
