this is gonna be a long ass chapter, just a heads up

The rustle of clothes filled the small apartment as Jimin brushed himself off in front of the tall mirror set against the wall. Pulling himself up to his full height, which, he admitted, wasn't much, the blonde made sure was presentable.
Satisfied with his appearance, Jimin nodded once and turned away from his reflection.
The present he bought for Jin sat on his table, neatly wrapped. Jimin picked it up, and, checking to make sure he had everything he needed, the blonde headed out the door of his apartment, making sure to lock behind him.

Small fairy lights lit up the outline of tents, and lanterns were strung in between the trees, lighting up the area in the park where Jin had decided to hold his birthday party. Tables filled with food and drinks lined the clearing, and a small gathering of Jin's close friends filled the space with a hum of chatter.
Jimin smiled as he neared the area, impressed by what Jin had done. He thought it was quite a pretty set up.
"Jimin!" a clear voice rang out, startling the blonde. Looking up, Jimin smiled and greeted his friend Wooyoung, who was making his way over to the older. The blonde set his gift for Jin on a nearby table already filled with presents, immediately being engulfed in a hug right after.
"Hi Wooyoung," Jimin said, light laughter escaping his lips as he hugged the younger back.
Letting go of the blonde, Wooyoung smiled brightly at Jimin. "It's been a g e s," the pink-haired boy noted.
Jimin laughed even more, causing Wooyoung's lips to turn down in a slight pout.
"You literally just saw me today, remember? And you've seen me each day before that, because you're always at the cafe," the older reminded his friend.
"Well, it still feels like it's been forever. Just let me live," Wooyoung complained, drawing out the "well."
Biting his lip to keep himself from laughing again, Jimin nodded. "Alright, alright, if you say so."
"I do say so, so there. Anyways, I'm going to go bother Jinhwan now. I haven't done enough of that lately," Wooyoung winked at Jimin and walked off to go find his boyfriend.
The blonde pretended to gag, laughing as Wooyoung rolled his eyes. Jimin honestly didn't know how Wooyoung and Jinhwan had ended up together. In his mind, they were a very unlikely couple, but there they were.
Shaking his head, Jimin observed the area again, searching for Jin so he could go and wish the older a happy birthday. He found him soon enough as his friend's unmistakable laughter filled the air on the other side of the open space.
Smiling, the blonde walked in the direction from where the laughter came from. His eyes picked up a head of fluffy brown hair as he walked closer to where Jin was surrounded by a small group of people. Jimin didn't pay much attention to the people around his friend, instead just walking straight up to the older.
"Jimin!" Jin exclaimed happily, reaching an arm out to pull the blonde into a sort of one-handed side hug.
"Hi Jin," Jimin beamed back at him, happy to see his friend in such good spirits on his birthday.
"Happy birthday! You did an amazing job with the setup of everything. It all looks amazing!"
Glowing with pride, Jin gestured to a boy off on the other side of the clearing. "It wasn't all me though, I had help from Taeyong. I swear, that boy is good at designing a n y t h i n g, from clothes to party settings."
