I was so relieved to get out of the stuffy old class room. Summer was finely here! As I walked down the corridor I noticed my best friend, Bella standing at her locker.

"Hey" I said as I walked up to her.

"Oh hi" she replied taking a quick glance at me before going back to packing her bag.

"How was your day?" She asks.

"Good thanks I'll tell you more on the bus I need to grab my bag." I replied

"Ok see you soon." She says as I turn around to quickly walk to my locker to pack up my bag. I shoved the last book into my bag as I see the bus drive into the school. I pick up my bag and slam my locker shut. I started to power walk to the bus and stand at the door of the bus for a moment waiting for Bella but I decide to jump on and get a seat. The bus was about to leave when I finally see Bella step on to the bus and take the seat next to me.

"Hi what took you so long" I say.

"Hey" she replied "I forgot to hand in a essay so I had to run it to the office."

"Ok" I say

"Are you at your mum or your dads tonight?" She asks

"Mum's, Dad has work until 10.30." I answered

"Oh darn I thought you could come sleep over. You could have walked." she whines

"Never mind." I sigh. My parents divorced when I was ten years old straight after my big brothers death. He died in a motorbike accident and mum blamed dad for it. That was when we lived in the country and I had the only thing I ever wanted. A horse. My thoughts were interrupted when Bella said we were at her house. The bus rolled to a stop out the front of Bella's house.

"Bye" I replied.

"Text you later." She says "bye."

The bus continued to travel around town dropping and picking up more people. There weren't many seats left on the bus when we stopped at the private girls school. There weren't to many people to pick up but it still filled up the bus I had one spot next to me but when the last girl hopped on the only seat left was next to me so I had to move my bag of it and let her sit. Once she'd got to me and sat down but she was only on half of the seat like I had some sort of disease.

'What a selfish snob' I thought to myself even though I wanted to say it out loud.

"Hi I'm Alexia Stewert" I tried to talk to make conversation.

"Hi" she replies not even turning her head to look at me.

"What is your name?" I ask

"Thalia Muir and which stop are you getting of at?"

"The post office." I replied

"Oh great I have to sit with you for the rest of the ride." she growled

"Ok then" I sigh turning to look out the window.

For the next twenty minutes we continued to travel around dropping and picking more people up until we finally pulled up at the post office. By the time I had got of the bus Thalia had already gone. I went inside to check If my Mum or I had any mail which we didn't so I started to head home when I noticed that there was a poster on the door requesting for more employees at the local stables. It was perfect. I've been looking for a job for ages but I couldn't find the right one and most of all I love horses. I used to ride all the time when I was young but that was before my parents split and we had to move to the city. I ripe one of the phone numbers of the bottom of the sheet because as soon as I get home I'm asking mum if I can ring and apply. I slip the number into my pocket and start walking home. Well it was pretty much jogging but anyway.
