If only you were mine

Chapter 2

"Hey Mum I'm home." I yelled out as I walked through the front door.

"Hello darling I'm In the kitchen." She replied.

I hang my school bag on the rack at the front door and take off my shoes not wanting to dirty the clean floor. I walk into the kitchen to see my mother cooking my favourite meal; creamy chicken and avocado pasta.

"Smells great." I say while grabbing a spoon out of the drawer and dipping it in the sauce. I blow on the hot sauce then put it in my mouth, the warmth surrounds my mouth making me instantly warm. "Oh my gosh best serve yet." popping the spoon in the saucepan for another taste.

"No more we have a visiter tonight and I would like there to be enough for him as well." my mum admitted while grabbing the spoon out of my hand and chucking it in to the sink.

"Him?" I gasp.

"Yes I've met someone and I would like you not to get involved the same way you did with the last one." she answers

"The last one was an idiot I saved you with that one." I mumbled "Oh and mum I was wondering there was this poster at the post office saying that the stable was wanting more workers. So I was thinking I could call them and see if they're interested in me?"

"Thats great honey of course you can call, you really are great with horses." she answers

"Thanks mum." I say in the middle of giving her a hug.

"You can call them now but straight after you have to have a shower and get changed." she said.

"Ok" I answered. I walked down the hall towards my bedroom at the end of the hallway. I open the door and walk in shutting the door behind me. I grab my phone and the phone number out of my pocket and sit down on my bed. I dial the number into my phone and press call nervously. It rang for a few seconds before someone picked up.

"Hello Mountain ridge stables how may I help you?" a lady answers in a sweet voice.

"Hi my name is Alexia Stewart I was calling in advance to the job available and was hoping to apply." I say in my most grown up voice I could muster.

"Oh yes thats wonderful if you would like to come tomorrow and we'll see what your like if you are any good you can have the job. Have you asked your parents?" The lady announces

"Yes I have." I answer only just remembering that I haven't asked dad. I hope he agrees if I get the job.

"Great I'll see you tomorrow at around ten is that ok with you?" she ask

"Yes thats great see you tomorrow." I say

"Bye" she put in.

"Bye." I say hanging up the phone and putting it on my bedside table. I jump off my bed and run to the door I yank it open and call out to mum.

"Mum she said that I can go over tomorrow and she will see if she wants me." I yell out down the hall.

"Thats great honey why don't you go have a shower nowadays remember not to get dressed into your pyjamas, unless you want too" she yells back to me.

"Yes Mum." I reply to her shutting the door behind me. I collect my shower gear and head to the shower.
