Light beamed through the portholes of the ship as the sun hovered over the horizon. (y/n) had awakened to the warm feeling on her face and let out a small yawn. Rubbing her eyes to clear her vision, she notices the unfamiliar environment around her. Her heart raced in fear and jumped to the conclusion that she had gotten herself kidnapped when she fell asleep on the deck.

A soft snore was heard dangerously close to her making her squeak. Turning her head to the sound she was nose to mask to Killer. Her jaw would've dropped to his broad chest if she allowed it, but kept her composure in case that her awful morning breath would wake him up.

"Killer?" She called out softly, "Are you still asleep?" her question was answered when he let out another snore. She was relieved that he didn't wake up but nonetheless was terrified of how close she was to him.

As she continued to stare at the man she saw his chest fall and rise at a slow, steady pace. Everything about him felt so serene, down to his relaxed muscles to his breathing he looked so peaceful. (Y/n)'s head grew tired from it being craned towards Killer and rested it on his shoulder before nuzzling close to his neck and taking in his sent.

'This was the first in a while that I've ever seen Killer's guard down,' She thought and looked up at the clock that was hanging at the wall.

It read six o'clock, the time that both Killer and (Y/n) had to wake up and meet their captain's demands before he would even wake up himself. If his needs were not met at the time he was there anyone could bet that there was going to an outrage.

"Killer," she called again, "it's time to wake up." He continued to snore. (Y/n) called his name again but a bit more stern, "Killer, do you want to get killed by Kidd?" she then tried to squirm and wiggle out of his grasp but his grip on her tighten when she started to add more leverage to her escape.

"Shut up and stay still pillow, you're comfortable," He replied gruffly. (Y/n) huff and started to wrestle the man for freedom but gave up soon after she realized that she was making no progress in escaping.

"Killer! I'm serious! Get up before-" her sentence was cut short when the door busted open revealing their scowling captain. "Kidd wakes...up..." she finished.

The look of Kidd showed unamused disappointment at the state the two were in. Killer was on top of (Y/n) in a rather dominant position, their messy hair and huffing chests didn't help clear the misunderstanding of the situation either. He sighed then lean on the door frame and pinched the bridge of his nose.

"If you two are ever gonna do that on my ship, lock the door so that I won't scar myself." (Y/n) face flushed into numerous shades of red.

"I-it's not w-what it looks like!" she stuttered, "I was trying to get out of bed, but someone still thinks that I'm a pillow!" She sent a glare towards Killer and once again tried to as much force as she could to move his arms. Kidd continued to stare at his sister's pathetic attempts to make his first mate skinny arms move. "Stop spectating and help me goddammit!" (y/n)'s sharp gaze was now aimed at the smirking redhead.

"Sure, I'll help," He said smugly, "Just let me get something from the workshop." Kidd then promptly left. About half an hour later Kidd continued to remain absent in helping (y/n) out, in fact, she stopped resisting all together and began to pet Killer's long, wild, blond hair. It was calm and quiet, just like how it was when (y/n) first woke up. Even her eyes started to grow heavy and would even fade in and out of sleep. The petting stopped when she fell asleep for about ten minutes before jumping up to the loud bang of the door being bursting open again, but before she could react to see if Kidd was there or not her eyes were blinded by a quick flash followed by mechanical hum. Killer's head who was resting comfortably on (y/n)'s chest suddenly perked up and peered over to Kidd who was chuckling sadistically while his hand was shaking some sort of thin, white piece of plastic.

Killer seemed to recognize the small thing he was holding and growled, "Kidd," he said lowly "That better not be what I think it is..." Kidd was not affected by his tone a let out a boisterous laugh.

"What?" he asks oh so innocently, "It's not like I took an embarrassing photo of you two cuddling!" He paused, "Oh wait, I did!" Killer immediately got off of (y/n) and tried to snatch the photo but Kidd managed to move quickly enough to the side and ran out of the room.

"Get back here!" Killed screamed.

"You want it? Come get it!" Kidd screamed back down the hall. The thudding of footsteps and the slamming of a few doors was all that she heard before finally getting out of the blanket that she was wrapped in and into Kidd's room to wash up and begin a new day.
