Chapter 4. Sadness

1 hour until the awards ceremony

Mackenzie's POV

I found a razor! I lock the cubicle door and sit on the toilet seat. I slit my wrists and everytime I make a new cut it makes the load of sadness go away.

I walk out. throw the razor away and clean my wounds.

I walk out to mum and the group and Abby calls me over.

"I'm sorry Kenzie you did great at your solo" Abby says

Suddenly she sees the red cuts on my wrists.

"Mackenzie?" She questions

Suddenly she stands up, grabs my arm and drags me outside.

"Mackenzie what did you do?!" Abby cries

"I'm sorry I was upset and angry at myself and..."

"Yes but you don't do this!" "Hunny please don't do this to yourself you're a good little girl please don't hurt yourself!"

"I'm sorry!" I say.

She hugs me tightly and we head inside.

Awards ceremony

Abby's POV

Host

Ok in the teen duet and trio division

In 3rd place with 235.4 points is Ava and Gino with 'My Happy Place!'

In 2nd place with 237.3 points is sonja and Ashley with ' my forte!'

And In first place with 256.8 points act number 242 is..... Maddie and Chloe with 'Wish On A Star!'

" woohoo!" I yell.

"What dance studio are you from?" Said the host

"Abby Lee Dance Company!!!" Chloe and Maddie yell.

We won!

I'm so proud of Maddie and Chloe they both danced flawlessly

I'm glad we won but the most important dance I'm worried about is Mackenzie's solo because she stuffed up.

Up next said the host

In the junior small group division

In third place with 346.9 points is "Black heart!"

Yeah. The group yelled as one of them came up to accept the award.

Next up in second place with 349.0 points is "my soul!"

And last in first place with 356.8 points is a contemporary piece 'Broken Dolls!'

Next up in the junior solo division

In 3rd place with 256.5 points is.. Mackenzie with watch me fly!

In 2nd place with 267.6 points is Brooklyn with 'End Up Here!'

And lastly in first place with 275.4 points is Brianna with 'Holla!'

If she had not screwed up she would've won first! She shouldn't have been such a crybaby and cut herself because she forgot her solo.

I feel kind of bad though as she self harmed because of me! I'm happy she placed though because she forgot her solo.
