Chapter 7. Panic!!

Abby's POV

I was walking down the hallway to my office to get some paperwork. I assumed that Mackenzie ran outside when she left 10 minutes ago. She would come back. I'm thinking of pulling her solo. She should never talk to me like that! She got that from watching Christi and Kelly I'll bet.

I kept walking down the hallways and when I walked around the corner I saw Mackenzie's little body crumpled on the floor at my feet.

"Ahhhh!" I scream "somebody help!"

I picked Mackenzie up and cradled her to me as I ran down the hallways. I met Jill and the cameraman at the studio door and the camera man is filming every moment.

"Call an Ambulance Jill!" I scream

"Christi call Melissa, now!" I yell

Some of the other teachers and students from other parts if the studio run in then and just stare at us blankly.

"Gianna! Get them out!" I yell motioning towards the students urgently.

I lay Mackenzie's small, fragile body on the floor and Christi runs up to me.

"Take her outside and go on the Ambulance with her!" "I'll get the girls to go through their routines!"

I pick Mackenzie's limp body up carefully and then I speed walk out the door. The cameraman follows me.

"Mackenzie! Wake up!" I cry.

"Go away!" I yell to the cameras with a tear stained face.

They turn around and leave, probably to get footage of the other girls and the mothers reactions.

I get outside and sit on the bench with the limp Mackenzie in my arms. And I don't have to wait long before the ambulance pulls up with its lights and sirens on beside me. The paramedics jump out as soon as it's parked and pull a stretcher out behind them.

I carefully lay Mackenzie on to the stretcher and get Into the back of the ambulance and sit on the seat next to Mackenzie.

Through tears I see the Paramedics hook machines up to the tiny girl.

"You'll be ok Kenzie I say mommy's coming.

Melissa's POV

Conversation between Melissa and Christi.

Christi- "Hey, Melissa you have to get home now!"

Melissa- "Why, I'm busy with Maddie we are going to stay here to shop tomorrow"

Christi- "You can't Mackenzie is travelling to the hospital while we are speaking!"

Melissa- "What! Why!!"

Christi- "Abby upset her and she ran out and 10 minutes later Abby found her on the ground unconscious and called the ambulance! She wouldnt wake up!"

Melissa- "my baby! I'm coming home right now!"

*Melissa hangs up*

Maddie's POV

Suddenly Mom runs into my room.

"Maddie! Pack your stuff now! We are going home!"

"Why?" I say

Then she said the words that broke my heart.
