Sorry for the late update. I've been having troubles writing and decided it would be best not to stress myself out.

"What on earth are you talking about Jay?" Cole said, raising an eyebrow at the boy in his window frame.

"You're planning on going to their meet up. Undercover." Jay accused, jumping down from the window sill and stepping closer to Cole.

"No.." Cole looked away.

"You're a horrible liar."

"Jay why do you care-" Cole started.

"It's dangerous! You're gonna get hurt!" Jay yelled.

"I might find more information."

"Not without me."

"Jay-"

"I'm not letting you risk your life by yourself." Jay crossed his arms,

"You can't stop me." Cole said flatly.

"Take me with you." The blue ninja begged.

"I promised I'd keep you safe."

"I'm not some kid!"

"Geez! Fine! You can come along."

---

The two moved swiftly and silently across town. Once they had arrived close enough to the enemy's hideout they had stoped, peering down from the top of a nearby building. Jay grabbing a hold of Coles arm for security.

"Not getting cold feet, are you?" Cole chuckled as he noticed Jays hesitation.

"Of course not." Jay huffed. "Just thinking of a plan."

"I say we just walk in." Cole stated.

"What?! I mean I know I'm not exactly the always prepared type but that seems reckless." Jay looked at Cole with worry.

"Hey you're the one who wanted to come." Cole smirked.

"We can go back if you-" before Cole could finish his sentence Jay had hoped off the building and into the dark alleyway below. Cole quickly followed.

"Jay?" It was so dark that Cole could barely see anything, never mind his teammate.

"Right here." Jay said quietly. Cole sighed in relief as he felt Jay move closer to him. Jay grasped his hand and Cole nervously brushed him off before scolding himself. Cole and Jay were always close so he had no reason to feel nervous around the blue ninja, but as he slowly started to realize his true feeling for Jay it lead to him wanting to keep his distance for. 'Why do I do this?' Cole thought to himself grimly, wanting more then anything to hold the boys hand.

Jay took a deep breath before pulling his hoodie hood over his head and starting to walk. Cole moved after him, making sure to keep close to Jay as the made their way to the entrance of the building.

Peering their head in they saw the warehouse was full of 50-100 people at least, more people entering every moment. The two ninjas made their way to a stage that everyone had been gathering around. After moving through the loud crowd of people they got to in front of the stage that was empty. As they looked around a man next up to them in the crowd placed a hand on Jays shoulder. "Haven't seen you too around here? Are y'new?" Jay flinched as the mans hand rested on his shoulder, he forced a smile. Cole took notice of this. It was always strange to him that despite Jay being so close to his friends was fine with them breaking his personal space, he didn't like strangers being too close to him. Cole couldn't help but pick up on the tiniest things that made Jay who he was.

It made him love him even more.

"Yeah just joined recently, I'm embarrassed to admit we don't really know what we're doing." Jay said with a small laugh, his acting skills coming into play.

"Eh, don't worry much, just follow the crowd." The man smiled, gesturing his hand around him to the surrounding people.

The lights suddenly went out and the crowd chatter had died down. "What's going on?" Jay asked Cole. Cole looked around at the crowd.

The darkness was replaced with a overhead light shinning on a spot in the middle of the stage. The crowd grew to a hush as a man, wearing the simple attire of jeans and a t shirt, walked up to the light on the stage, holding a microphone in his hands.

"Ladies and gentleman!" The man yelled with a bright smile, leading to the audience breaking out in cheers.

"Thank you for coming. I've called us here because of some recent events that have taken place. These ninja are a problem." His face dropped as he spoke, changing into a more determined one. Jay furrowed his eyebrows as he listened to the man talk.

"Of course they haven't done much to hurt us.." the speaker let out a chuckle, which lead to the crowd laughing as well.

"They could in the future." The speaker continued. "I suggest we deal of this problem quickly."

"What about garmadon." A voice shouted from the crowd.

"He hasn't become a threat let. We have no reason of attacking him-" the speaker stoped as a women came from the stage, her heels clicking being the only sound in the now silent building. She whispered something in his ear.

"I've just been informed there are some ninjas among us." He spoke in a monotone voice. Jay and Cole froze and started to panic, Cole keeping his outside composure slightly better then Jay.

"Are you two going to introduce yourselves?" A spotlight suddenly shined directly on top of Jay and Cole.

"Get them." The speaker spoke into the mic before complete chaos ensued.

Cole elbowed the closet one to them in the face and grabbed a hold of Jays hand as they tried to push back people to reach an exit. But there were too many of them.

There was no way both of them could get out of there.
