KEY :
(F/F) - favourite flowers

-

Tom stood outside someone's door, along with a bouquet of (F/F) in hand. "Coming!" Someone from inside replied, as Tom listened to the soft footsteps getting louder. The door swung open, and out came a girl with flushed cheeks.

"Tom! Hi!" She breathed out, shocked by his sudden visit. He smiled at her, showing her the flowers her held. "For you." The actor said, as (Y/N) gasped.

"Thank you! They're beautiful, but I can't accept them.." She said, getting bashful as she thought about how much the flowers would have cost. Tom looked at the questionably. "What do you mean?" He asked, the worst thought running through his mind. What if she had a boyfriend?

Tom shook his head at the thought, he remembered (Y/N) saying that she was single the last time they met. But, that was a week ago. Could she have gotten a boyfriend over the week?

He couldn't blame her, (Y/N) was indeed beautiful, inside and out. She had this kick to her that made everyone stop and stare, including Tom. He could not blame others for falling for her, for he had done the same.

"Tom?" (Y/N) said worriedly, waving a hand at his face as he broke out of his thoughts. He looked down, embarrassed as she had caught him staring at her. "I'm sorry, what did you say?" He composed himself, taking a deep breath as he awaited for her reply.

(Y/N) giggled, leaning against the doorframe. "I said, that they must have cost a lot. I can't accept them." Tom sighed in relief, but it seemed to be louder than what he would've liked.

"Is something wrong?" (Y/N) worriedly glanced over to the man that stood before her, as she realised something. She gasped, "Where are my manners? Please, come in!" She said, grabbing Tom's wrist and ushered him inside, leaving him no time to take off his shoes. Tom stared at her fingers that were wrapped around his wrist, a slight red tint on his ears. He refused to blush, but it seemed inevitable.

"I'm so sorry, it must had been hot outside. Your cheeks are all red from the heat!" She wiped away a bead of sweat from Tom's forehead, of which he failed to notice beforehand. He froze, watching her worry over him. (Y/N) mentally panicked, first she forgot to invite him in, then touched him without asking! Oh dear, she messed up.

Rushing away from Tom and into the kitchen, she pulled out a jug of iced lemon tea, of which she had prepared earlier that morning after her breakfast. Pouring a portion of the drink into a smaller glass, she rushed out once more to give it to Tom.

He smiled at her, finding all the way she worried over him cute. Taking a sip, he let out a sigh of satisfaction, as (Y/N) took it as a good thing. Gesturing for him to take a seat, she sat down next to him on the vacant chair at the dining table. "So, where's Carter?" He noticed that her furry companion was missing, after finishing the refreshing beverage.

(Y/N) pointed to the couch, and Tom looked over to see a snoozing bunny that laid on its back. Its legs were in the air, and the belly was shown bare. He looked back at (Y/N), raising an eyebrow. She shrugged, "I swear he's a dog inside."

He chuckled in response, as (Y/N) questioned about his sudden visit. "You're lucky that I was home. What if I wasn't home?" She asked, putting a hand under her chin and smiled. Tom let out a 'Uh..' sound before doing a 'call' gesture with his hand.

Her laughter was like music to Tom's ears, as he loved knowing that he was the reason for that laugh. He turned to (Y/N), and remembered why he had dropped by.

"If you're free tonight, could I bring you out?" He asked, the last few words becoming a soft whisper as he felt his heart hammering in his chest. Never had he ever felt so nervous in asking anyone out before, but here he was. Her eyes were wide open, processing what the actor had just said.

"Hold up, did you just ask me out on a date or to hang out?" (Y/N) was confused, on most occasions where her male friends would ask her out, it was only for a mere hang out, not a date. She's only had one boyfriend, so the girl was sort-of still new to dating.

Tom put a hand under his chin, giving her a soft smile. "I believe it was for a date." He replied, as (Y/N)'s cheeks instantly burned a bright red. He chuckled at her reaction, it was cute.

"U-uh, sure!" She managed to stutter out, hiding her face behind her hands moments after, the feeling of embarrassment engulfing her. Tom smiled, tugging at her right hand and gave it a small peck. "Thanks for accepting." He whispered, as she watched him, her blush deepening.

Carter seemed to have woken up, as when (Y/N) tried to say something back, the bunny hopped smoothly onto Tom's lap. Sniffing at him, the bunny stood on its hind legs as Tom averted his attention from (Y/N.)

"Hello, there." He smiled, petting the bunny as the pet closed its eyes in content. Its owner used it as a chance to compose herself, she took a deep breath in to steady the erratic beating of her heart.

Though the tactic did not help as much, it certainly did help (Y/N) from fainting on the spot. Oh, how embarrassing it would have been! Though, Tom had already seen her at one of her lowest moments.

Tom looked at (Y/N), noticing how she held a hand over her heart, eyes closed and taking in slow, deep breaths. Had he caused her to get a panic attack? He worried internally, reaching out to put his hand on her free one.

"Are you okay?" He questioned, his light eyes reflecting the emotions he felt for her inside. (Y/N) opened her eyes at the warm sensation, as she stared at the actor's hand on hers. "I-I.." She stuttered, shaking her head.

"This can't be real right? My favourite actor, asking me out for dinner and becoming friends with him three weeks ago?" She said to herself, and locked eyes with Tom once again. He tilted his head in confusion as he replied, "It's real."

"Are you sure I'm not dreaming? I could wake up at any moment!" She exclaimed, refusing to believe what had happened over the past few weeks. It seemed to be too good to be true. And, even if it was true, all good things come to an end. Well, that's what (Y/N) felt, based on a past experience.

Tom let go of her hand briefly, as she frowned slightly at the feeling of warmth disappearing. He bent down to assist Carter onto the ground, the bunny happily running off to a nearby corner, of which laid a box of hay. Hopping inside it, Carter munched on the greens and probably relieved himself at the same time.

After watching Carter for a moment, Tom turned back to (Y/N). She stared back at him, still refusing to believe anything that was happening. In the blink of an eye, he grasped her chin softly, and pulled her towards him. "E-eh?!" She squeaked out, as a pair of lips were placed onto her cheek, and left as quickly as they came.

He smiled smugly at the effect he had on her, glad that he was causing her as much butterflies as she caused him. "This is not a dream." He said, (Y/N) touching the place where Tom had kissed.

Her cheeks burned even more now, if anything, it could put a tomato to shame. Suddenly, an idea popped into (Y/N)'s head, the embarrassment quickly melting away as it was replaced with the feeling of mischievousness. "Hey, what's that?" She asked, pointing to the right, causing Tom's head to follow as he searched to see what she had mentioned.

Just like Tom, she pecked his cheek, catching him off-guard as he froze. Turning to the giggling woman, his cheeks had a dark red hue to it. "Now, we match." She giggled, as Tom chuckled in response.
