lauren smiled as she stepped out of the booth to greet jack.
"hi jack." she smiled, allowing him to wrap his arms around her and give her a hug.
"show me some new music!" jack exclaimed.
"okay, here's this one. all the others are named, but i'm not sure what to name this one."
"i thought you into my life.."
jack smiled as the song played. he knew she was talented, but this is a whole different level.
"do you like it?" she smiled, turning to face jack.
"i love it. you're so incredibly talented." he smiled, wrapping his hands around her waist.
a few weeks ago, lauren wouldn't have even let jack near her. but now, she knows that her feelings for him are there and very real.
she never thought she would find herself swooning over another man this quickly, especially since her last relationship she got engaged in two months. it ended in a disaster and she promised herself that she would remain single and focus more on herself and her career.
she isn't angry with herself though. lauren is the type of girl that believes everything happens for a reason, and she believes that thing's are meant to be. she doesn't get caught up on the little things, but focuses on the bigger picture. she trusts God puts people in your life to teach you a lesson or be a permanent one.
after playing jack the entire new album, the two sat on the couch in the booth allowing her producer to work his magic.
"you look great in my hoodie, babe." jack smiled, causing lauren to blush.
"thanks, i'm getting a collection now." she's stolen almost all of jack's favorite hoodies but jack doesn't mind at all. he always tells her she looks better in them than he does.
"what are you doing tonight?" jack questioned, softly rubbing lauren's back.
"nothing that i know of why?"
"well dress nice and bring some makeup remover, because tonight we are going to catch, and then were hanging a sleepover at my place."
lauren nodded and smiled, grabbing her purse and following jack out to his car to get dropped off at her house.
