lauren sat at the mall across from cindy, sipping her starbucks and still thinking about jack. it's been two weeks since their last encounter, and he hasn't made any effort to answer her texts.
"i don't know what to do, cin. i've never been this hung up on a guy before. i don't know why he's avoiding me." lauren sighed.
"call johnson. i'm sure he'll know what's up." cindy assured.
lauren nodded, taking a sip and dialing his number.
"hey, lauren. what's up?"
"hey j, i'm just wondering if you can tell me what's up? i haven't heard from jack in two weeks and he hasn't answered my texts. i called him and when he answered there was a girl, but he told me it was for you, and i don't know. i've just been worrying." she spilled.
"no, um- i think you should fly here. check for yourself. i can't say anything."
lauren sighed, thanking him and hanging up.
"down for a trip, cin?"
the girls headed back to lauren's, packing bags out of her closet and headed off to the jet.
"i'm scared, what if he's cheating on me? what if it's something terrible?" lauren worried as she waited to board her plane.
"lauren, you're worrying. there's nothing to worry about. i'm sure everything will be fine. i'm positive that he's just missing you and doesn't want to make it worse."
lauren released the breath she'd been holding in, looking out the window of the plane.
she can't help but have a bad feeling. she feels as if her world is about to come crashing down on her, and there's nothing she can do to stop it.
she loves jack, she wants nothing more than to be with him again, but at what cost? getting her heart broken?
her mothers always told her: "if someone loves you, genuinely, truly loves you, they will make time for you. what is for you will be for you, and what is yours will always be yours."
she tried to believe that one day everything would be for her, would be hers. but everything kept walking away from her and she lost hope until her career began.
she wants to be able to love someone, marry someone, have a family and grow old with someone. there's nothing in the world she wants more. she thought she could have that with jack, but now she's not so sure.
as they arrived at the hotel the boys are staying at, the girls checked into a room and settled in.
"the guys should be at soundcheck and nowhere near the hotel right now, do you wanna go to the pool for a little while until their show? johnson hooked me up with tickets." cindy smiled.
lauren agreed, grabbing her bag and her bathing suit. the girls suited up in their bikini's, heading off to the pool after meeting a swarm of fans.
as lauren and cindy sat in the hot tub, lauren returned to her thoughts. she tried shaking them off, but the thought of jack not loving her anymore is a burden and has been on her mind for the last fourteen days.
the ladies sat in the hot tub for an hour longer, before getting out and heading up to get ready for the show.
as they headed backstage, the girls heard the guys finishing their set and soon saw a girl walking out of the curtains behind the stage.
"oh, lauren." the girl smirked.
"madison." lauren spoke, hurt leaving her voice.
