Malia shifted her shoulder underneath the Asian girl sleeping on her, and tried to reach for her coffee on the table without disturbing her. She had fallen asleep on Malia a little over half an hour ago, but the coyote didn't mind, she looked like she needed sleep. Unfortunatley, the shoulder shift had bumped her head a little, and the girl next to her shook herself awake.
"Hey there," Malia said, letting the corner of her mouth tug up a little at the beauty next to her.
"Oh my gosh, I'm so so sorry," she began, eyes widening at the thought that she actually slept on a strangers shoulder. Not any stranger either, the cute stranger in the coffee shop.
"No, it's okay," Malia said, brushing it off. "You looked like you needed sleep anyways,"
The other girl was blushing now, bumbling about and trying to collect her papers.
"I bought coffee so it would keep me awake, but it was just a mocha and I didn't drink much," she began making excuses rapidly, and shoving her papers haphazardly into her bag, she stood up to leave. Malia was confused- did she really give off such a bad vibe? She knew that sometimes she growled with no explanation and generally looked angry and confused with the human world, but she couldn't really help it.
"Why are you leaving?"
"I-," the girl seemed surprised that Malia was still talking to her. It made the smile play on Malia's lips a little longer. "I thought I bothered you,"
Malia vigourusly shook her head, "No, no, not at all."
"I'm," the dark haired girl began after she warily sat down, "I'm Kira,"
"Malia,"
Kira smiled, ducking her head. Now she could put the beautiful face to a name.
"So, do you want some actual coffee to stay awake, or do you want to sleep on my shoulder again?,"
Kira laughed in response, but Malia just furrowed her brow. It wasn't meant to be a joke, she was offering her shoulder to sleep on. "Or, my lap is comfier, if you want?" Kira's reaction was shocked, and entirely surprised.
"Um, I think I'll take the coffee," Kira bit her lip and god, that was doing things to Malia. She just wanted to take the girls lips in her own teeth, but she was taught that that was unacceptable behaviour in public places with people you've only just met, so she restrained herself. For now.
