"Another Symbol? Hmm... There's only one. Wait!" A young boy demanded making his parents jump and turn to him. "I found it! Lemuria..." Antaeus Nekton exclaimed, nearly whispering the last word. Excitement and adrenaline (or, in Fontaine's case, doubtful curiosity) flowed through their veins as they approached the youngest member of the family.
"Are you sure Ant? isn't the first time you've said that. isn't the first time your wrong either." Fontaine remarked arching a brow.
"It is this time! I'm sure!" Ant whined causing Fontaine to roll her eyes.
"Yes i believe that's it! Well done Antaeus!" Nereus exclaimed smiling joyfully at the young explorer.
"see!" Ant said, his smug tone and face making Fontaine roll her eyes again. God he was infuriating sometimes!
"It's in the Atlantic Ocean." William Nekton Exclaimed Studying the map.
"How have we not seen it before?" Kaiko Questioned turning to Nereus for some kind of answer at least.
"I honestly don't know... maybe it's... hidden?" He tried not exactly sure what to say.
"Well, what are we waiting for? Nektons, set sail!" Ant practically demanded.
Fontaine rolled her eyes for the third time since this conversation started. walking to her seat she help her mother with piloting while her little brother and her father worked out why Lemuria hasn't yet been found. She knew that it would take a long time to get there, considering the fact that they are, at the moment, on the other side of the world. She sighed and decided to get comfortable. it was going to be a long ride.
"I don't get it. If that is Lemuria... then how is it still hidden?" Will demanded, his voice barely above a whisper. he continued to stare while his son was talking to his pet fish. he smiled slightly when he heard Ant discussing how Lemuria was still hidden to Jeffery. suddenly Ant was back.
"Dad, what about the chronicle of the deep?" he asked staring into his fathers eyes with hope and determination.
"Good idea, Ant. I'll go get it." Will ran off as Ant turned to his fish with proud eyes. "Told you you're a genius!"
"He's a fish, Ant." He heard his Sister say in a tired voice.
"Ignore her, Jeffery." He said touching the class in order to comfort his fish. Fontaine sighed and went back to what she was doing.
(TIME SKIP)
As time went on they decided to take a break. have some dinner get some sleep, ya know human things. Jeffery didn't though, so ant decided to study with him. he studied books about aliens, mermaids and honestly all other books of mythical creatures he could find.
"So Jeffery, if mermaids exist, which they do, would that mean their in Lemuria? I mean think about it. Lemuria is now underwater right. so maybe when it went under water, mermaids and other magical sea creatures went there to be safe from human! It makes sense." He explained not realizing his mother walking into the room
"And so does getting some sleep. its late, you should have been in bed hours ago!" Kaiko remarked, ever so slightly cross as she pointed to his bed.
"But mom!" and whined putting down the book and flopping on his bed like a drama queen, Kaiko chuckled under her breath and said goodnight before turning off the lights.
"Let me know if he gets out again, Jeffery." Kaiko ordered the fish before exiting to go to bed herself.

"Reading about mermaids again?" Will asked looking up from his book as his wife walked into their bedroom and sat down on her side.
"Now he thinks their hiding in Lemuria with all the other mythical sea creatures." Kaiko explained sighing and lying down.
"Well, it kinda makes sense." Will remarked, seeing his wife give him the don't you start look, he smiled and kissed her goodnight before going to sleep.
However, Kaiko was far from sleep. she couldn't stop worrying about the events of today. not only did Alpheus steal the Ephymicron, but he nearly unleashed the Kraken itself! which nearly got her kids killed! and not only that! Ant decided it was a good idea to get out of the shadow knight and face the Kraken in a swimsuit! She nearly had several heart attacks by her son being so stupid as to do that. What was he thinking!? That it would be fine!? Well obviously he wasn't! God why were her kids so Goddamn Heroic!?
She sighed, might as well sleep, God knows whats gonna happen tomorrow. she thought rolling over she faced her husband's peaceful face and smiled. If I knew what was gonna happen getting married to him and having my kids on a sub where we meet legendary beasts. i wouldn't change a thing! With that thought in mind she fell into a peaceful, dreamless sleep.

about half way down the long corridor, to the left was a room which held a teenage girl. who was yet to sleep. With everything that had happened, the Kraken nearly being unleashed, Ant nearly dying... She curled up in a ball and shivered. she knew she was gonna have nightmares for a few weeks about this. Fontaine stared into the darkness and decided that enough was enough. Getting up she grabbed her phone plugged in her earphones and listened to music to try and sleep without dwelling on today's events to much. she felt her eyes close and her heartbeat fell in time with the relaxing song she played. sleep wouldn't be dreamless however. whether or not its peaceful, she could only hope it is.

P.P.S I'm testing a few things with this book (like i said before first fanfic) so i might not keep time skips, I might replace them or not do anything at all. give your advice on those too if you want. and in a few chapters i might change it. but if this is boring it'll get exciting soon... I hope.
