The next morning was a quiet one. As the Nekton's filed out of their bedrooms one by one with a rush of excitement. They were going to find Lemuria for sure this time! Antaeus, being the happy-go-lucky guy that he is, bounded into the kitchen for breakfast speaking a million miles a minute about what Lemuria will look like. no one understood what he was saying, so they ignored him. Causing Ant to vent to Jeffery. Not that its unusual, so still they ignored him.

Placing down a plate of bacon eggs and toast down on the kitchen table, Kaiko ushered her bundle of excitement to the table. now that she shut him up, she explained the activities of the day.

"If we need to help someone we will. Lemuria isn't going anywhere." She explained sternly smiling slightly at the crestfallen 12 year old. he nodded, allowing her to continue. "Fontaine, I'll need you to help me in the engine room for a bit. we should be finished their by the time lunch comes 'round." Fontaine nodded.

"Ant your with me for most of the day. We'll be doing a few things. Which gives us plenty of time to talk about Lemuria." Will said as he led his boisterous son out of the kitchen and into the bridge. Kaiko chuckled under her breath.

Those two. she smiled as she put this mornings dishes in the dishwasher. turning, her smile turned into a grin as she walked beside her daughter.

"Shall we?" she asked playfully, gesturing to the door. Fontaine giggled at her mother's cockiness.

"We shall." Looping her arm around Kaiko's, they made their way to the engine room.

She looked up from her scanners just in time to see a pod of dolphins' swim past her clicking excitedly. She chuckled as she thought how similar her son was to them. Always bubbly and optimistic, though she wished he wouldn't keep his head in the clouds so much.

Her thoughts were interrupted by a distress call beeping in her ear. Quickly answering she spoke with a calm and even voice.

"this is the Aronax, what is your situation?" Teal eyes scanned the radar briefly.

"Kaiko it's me, Jess! (might change later) Where sinking in a sub... came in from... a hole in...-ing!" she ranted, her signal breaking into static causing Kaiko to wince from the loud crackling.

"I've picked up on you signal, we'll be their soon. Don't worry ." Kaiko soothed her, switching to her motherly tone in the process. She couldn't help it! If that was one of her kids, she'd be gentler than a kitten if it calmed them down.

"All Nektons to the bridge, now! We've got a rescue mission and I'm not sure what we'll need. We all need to be ready to jump!" Kaiko ordered into the mic, gaining her family's attention. Her eyes flickered down to the radar once more as she pushed her home to her friend and his daughter. She frowned, hoping they'd get there in time.

Fontaine was having her lunch when her mother's voice called over the speaker system. She sighed, one day she'll go a whole day without work cutting her meals short. Getting up she put her peanut butter and jelly sandwich in the fridge and headed towards the bridge in a slow jog. She watched her brother, Ant, nearly run into the wall just outside his door. Chuckling she suppressed an eye-roll and continued onward. Trying to ignore Ant's stupid questions along the way.

"For the last time, Ant, I don't know!" She groaned as they entered the bridge.

"well fine!" Ant huffed but smiled as he walked over to the fish tank, "I'll ask Jeffery." He smiled fondly at his fish, who smiled back. Fontaine couldn't suppress this eyeroll.
